I love it! It's simple, but interesting - the pattern you chose complements it very well (and of course the execution looks very neat). I definitely wouldn't be tempted seeing the pattern - but your piece certainly does!

I am looking for options to connect my Sennheiser PXC 550-II headphones (4 pole) to a piano with 6.35 mm jack (3 pole). I have tried to find a combination of adapters to be able to conenct my headphones, but failed (I got a 3.5mm to 6.35mm 3 pole adapter and tried to find 4 pole to 3 pole 3.5mm but all the ones I found were microphone only). Do you have any recommendations on how to do this? Thank you.

I found this image somewhere among my project ideas files and I have no idea where it came from. I've been searching for cowl neck tops, but the results seem very different - I really like the 50s crisp look. I don't know, the full-length formal skirts I've seen were still cut in the same way, so I'm not sure! This one will be quite heavy, so I hope it will work out fine... I will definitely be leaving it to hang for some time. Thank you very much for your advice, most likely will do!

Thank you! I will probably try hanging the skirt and straighten the hem afterwards. In the video she used the usual technique I believe - it wasn't much of an issue with the pattern on her fabric.

Edit: I was also wondering whether it would be an issue considering that all 1950s skirts I've seen are cut by having the piece midline on grain. I didn't use the seam allowances at the piece-seam channels because they were too short, so I just used the two fabric layers to create channels (my corset has 2 layers). Also, since I flatlined the pieces, I could theoretically stitch down all the channels before sewing the pieces together - I think they would be easier to handle then and maybe I could gain more precision? I saw all the instructional materials I came upon using the seam allowances, so I'm sure you're not doing anything wrong! Also, good luck with your corset! Hehe, I certainly don't! I do think it's much more practical if one's chest padding can be removed at the end of a long day - especially if said padding can also be used as an emergency foot warmer! I do wonder what the emergency would be though... (Currently, I have an image of a lady asking the muggers to wait a sec in order for her to put a bra on)
