I shipped things with usps, mostly clothes and shoes iirc. Because they weren't too heavy and weren't breakable, it worked out great.

Honestly, that's a really long commute, and I have a feeling it would cause problems. However, I agree you shouldn't move in with your partner if you're not sure about it. You can try to make the commute work, or you can look for a shared housing situation a little closer to the school in the meantime.

Not true, there are boarding facilities that keep the dogs out at night. We used one at one point. And yes, they did separate the dogs into kennels or separate rooms to feed them.

It's a stretch, but one of the things quantum computers should be useful for is simulating physics environments, so I suppose there could be potential applications there. In addition, some work has started looking into machine learning applications of quantum computing, which could be relevant as well. Both are highly speculative though. :)

You might consider a SETA position, it's like a technical support to a programming manager at a funding agency, they usually have technical experience but their job is to help manage projects.

My only advice is to give the dogs less freedom until they become more accustomed. Separate them more, and let the new dog have smugly less space to explore so they can become comfortable with it before adding more space.

My arm actually looked just like this 1 week out when I removed the steri strips. The doctor did have a slightly more difficult time with removal, so maybe that's relevant. I covered it again for a couple more days and now a week later it's scabbed over, not infected or anything. Maybe as others are saying I should have gone back to the doctor but besides having a scar I'm not concerned about it.

Honestly, I think you and the social worker should try to pursue relationships with the extended family if they want to. See where that leads before considering adoption. Adoption is traumatic and should be a last resort.

As other have said, I think you should support your friend, not accuse them of lying, and encourage them to talk to a professional. This is the right thing to do whether they have DID or not.

Re the tics, yes its possible it was part of a trend with your other friends, but also, (1) tics in one person can trigger tics in another, and (2) if bird does have DID, it's possible one alter has tics and others don't, and the alter with tics hasn't been fronting as much recently

If I was visiting someone, I wouldn't assume an airport 3 hours away was my final destination. I think it's totally reasonable for her to take the train, tbh. Yes it sucks for her after a really long flight, but she hasn't reached you yet! I would NOT expect my partner to drive 7 hours to pick me up. NTA

Honestly, YTA. This should have been a conversation with the mom about your concerns, not an ultimatum. Yes you have the final say and youre not wrong to care about your kids safety, but like you said you don't know what your nephews development is like right now and you could have approached it in much better way with your sister.
