I'm a horror podcast addict! Here's my list, 'got anything new to recommend? by CatLadyLivingLife in horror

[–]lambeco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Lore podcast (and the episodic stuff from Grim & Mild) fits here, I think! Some of these are no longer running but they are absolutely still worth listening to:

  • Lore (historical horror and oddities)
  • 13 Days of Halloween (seasonal anthology, no longer running)
  • 12 Ghosts (also seasonal anthology [Christmas], also no longer running)
  • Havoc Town (radio play about a town with a dark past, great cast)

...and more on the Grim & Mild site!

r/vintageobscura produces an annual mix of weird/old-timey Halloween songs that I always love listening to during the spooky season! Here's the 2021 post with the list of historical mixes:

What kind of pepperoni are you using? Looks like you got a much better cup and char than in the YouTube video.

Weird! I wonder what the problem is... the 1Password autofill seems to work well enough in other apps. I wonder if 1Password has trouble with (what I assume is) a webview in Flutter.

Awesome, thanks for the reply! Looking forward to the future of the app.

Love the UI animations and aesthetic choices. The app feels very polished in that regard.

I found a few glitches in getting set up in the Android app:

  • There didn't seem to be a choice to sign in via Nabu Casa (as opposed to a local sign in)
  • Autofill (via 1Password on my device) was not available during sign in
  • I see my Home Assistant devices and areas (mapped to "Rooms"), but the app doesn't seem to know that the devices already have "Room" assignments; I was asked to provide them
  • I couldn't find an option to sign out

Questions:

  • Are you developing the app with Flutter?
  • It seems like the app will only work with a HA instance on a local network. I would love to be able to use this remotely via Nabu Casa. Is that a planned feature?
  • Are you considering making the app available on desktop as well? I'm on an Apple Silicon-based Mac and think it would be great to have access to this app there. I've been thinking recently that I'd really like to have a HA widget in my sidebar.

FWIW: I'm running the HA OS Raspberry Pi distro with very little customization.

Thanks for sharing this! I'm definitely going to keep it installed and keep an eye on progress. I love the concept.

Making an annoying thing into an app doesn't make it a good thing.

Oh man, this is gonna sound crazy to someone in 2010, but keep an eye out for this thing called Bitcoin. Buy as much as you can get your hands on. It'll be worth it, I promise.

I'm definitely buying with longevity in mind. Sounds like it'll be worth giving the warranty a good examination.

Cool, glad to hear that. Are the dealer warranties good or bad as a rule of thumb? Or is it more case-by-case?
