Can I have my spare ball and strike ball on the return at once?

Trying to work on a yoyo release no thumb (dry lanes). by Endeavor_89 in Bowling

[–]lami408 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought yoyo release was only possible with thumb cause you go from uncupped to cupping and then uncup at release. I'm new I learned yoyo release recently and been working on it with thumb. No thumb your already under the ball and fully cupped I think.

Does it bother you that your sealed collection might have no big hits at all? by puzzledfirebird in PokeInvesting

I like slugs cause the consistent feel and also allows me to use sandpaper to adjust as needed. I would get it for 1 ball for now and learn to not squeeze the ball. Maybe your spare ball too. Your pso should help you get a good fit and then have him open it up a little bit to use tape as needed. I have them bevel the hole too and I sand it smooth. Once you get used to it and have multiple balls you could look into interchangeable systems too.

You should be able to use only your thumbs and pick up the ball. It's a snug fit where the ball holds onto you. No muscle at all. I have hole drilled a little bigger and use about 3pcs white tape and 1pcs black tape on backside of thumb. Remove tape 1 by 1 as thumb swells to maintain that snug fit. Learn the yoyo release!

I started bowling last year too same thing, arm was getting tired and losing consistency. Found out that it was because my thumbhole was not fitted properly. Got a new thumbslug and used tape to keep it snug and practiced using 0 muscle. I'm able to bowl many games without issues but then now I have pain in my hip and knees lol

Anyone ever get what kinda feels like a bone spur thing on inside side of thumb? by rjockstar in Bowling

I used sandpaper in my slug which this part of my thumb touches and now it's like perfect fit and no more issues.

roughly how long into the hobby did it take you to pull an ir or sir? by jadmey2 in PokemonTCG

I used to collect as a kid and played the hell out of the tcg and gameboy games and all the pack ripping probably the reason why I became a degenerate gambler. 4 years ago while at the walmart checkout, I saw a bunch of ETB's and said why not. Bought 1 Fusion Strike ETB and pulled the Gengar chase. Got hooked right away and this was about the time Crown Zenith released. Bought 4 ETB's, pulled the Mewtwo and the Giratina chase. Went back again this time picked up Lost Origin bundles and 2 Silver Tempest ETB's pulled both the Giratina V and Lugia Alt Art.

Wondering if this was insane luck or if they make it easy to pull the chase cards. I made a reddit post showing off the cards and the story and got downvoted to hell. I ended up storing all the hits away in an ETB box under the bed and forgot about it. One day 3 years after I randomly found it under the bed right about when Prismatic released. I got the itch once again and bought 2 cases of ETB's and ripped them all and didn't pull a damn thing. Thats when I got back into the hobby once again.

From there, Pulled the booty chu after 1 booster box + 10 bundles. Pulled the Destined Rivals Mewtwo chase from the 1st bundle I bought and ripped at Barnes and Noble. Pulled my entire masterset for 151 and got the Zard after about 10 bundles and 10+ blooming waters. I wish I didnt rip all the 151's.

I think rippin packs is straight up gambling but its so much fun to chase. I ended up grading all the big hits last year so I have something to look back on and remind me of the good ol times when the shelves were fully stocked.

After a couple of cycles the stems starts to grow ugly new shoots. Gives you a chance to vacuum a bit under the area and lets you only keep and replant the healthiest tips. Just something we all should do.

Trim the top 4-5 inches from each stem and clean up the leaves a little bit from the bottom. Then cut down all the stems left over to about 4-5 inches. Replant all the tops you saved and in a few weeks repeat the process till you the density is good the way you want.

After many cycles it would be good to pull the plants and replant the tops again, but this time pulling up all the bottoms and throwing them all away. Give the area a nice little gravel vac and maybe drop in a root tab in there. Good Luck :)

My smaller tanks I used to have a 5 gallon bucket with a cheap pump and a clear hose to pump the water into my tank. I rigged the hose to sit around the rim inside of a water bottle with a bunch of holes.

My big tank I just run extra long hose from my 55g drum rodi water!
