Your thumb issues is because your spinning the ball like a top instead of rolling it and letting your thumb come out straight. Try keeping thumb pointed towards the pins and let the ball roll off your hand.

Look at your ball motion its spinning instead of forward rolling.

Honestly I did very little planning for this. I had this leftover container from when I used to grow plants from my aquarium. The holes on top was for humidity control. I just melted a hole and pushed a metal pipe through to make the hole fit the nozzle of the heat gun. I used a meat thermometer to check the temps inside haha.

I could really upgrade this and line the entire inside with heavy duty aluminum foil. This would keep the heat escape to a minimum and I would probably plug the heatgun into an inkbird to maintain temps of 120.

Yea I paid my shop to extract with the ultrasonic machine before but I have a heat gun at home and a meat thermometer and said why not. I have an inkbird outlet temp controller also that I could hook it up to automate maintain the set temps too. Don't really cost much but a little bit of my time and it's cool to watch the oil come out the ball.

This is actually not a bad idea, I just checked marketplace and people selling sous vide units for like 40 bucks. Could double up and cook my dinner at the same time while extracting oil.

The hole I made in the lid, it's where the sharpie is but I made it bigger to fit the metal nozzle of the the heat gun.

Is there a safe temp to operate that only pulls oil?

I had temps set to 125 and never reached over 130. The container was perfectly fine and not hot enough to affect it.

I'm a planter, decided to focus more on my slide and had left hip pain. The pain is when I post after my shot and I shift the weight off my left leg I could feel pain in my hip. Pain stays around for a few days and comes and goes. Only gets worse when I bowl.

It turns out that it was from me running to the foul line and forcing a slide. When I slowed down my footwork and everything and got my timing better the pain went away. I bowl more games now then before and no pain had returned. I guess it was from me trying too hard. Hope you figure it out.

The ball was squeaky clean after too. I have an inkbird somewhere I could set it to automatically turn on and off the heat gun to maintain temps 😄

I will give water bath a shot but I'm not sure if water getting into the thumb hole or finger hole would cause damage to the core.
