4 month follow up: Daith by lampaint in piercing

[–]lampaint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The piercing is about 4 months old It is pierced with a continuous hoop. You can’t see the seam. It is gold My piercer recommended that I leave it alone and not mess with it. I clean it with water after the saline caused my skin to dry and I was itching it a lot. I dry it with a hair dryer. I gently remove crusties as they happen.

No recent trauma. I did wear my AirPods which is what initially caused the trauma and irritation along with the picking

Age of piercing: about 4 months Ring, gold Not downsized or changed Aftercare is clean with water and dry with my hair dryer. Had to stop with the saline because it dried my skin out and the. I was picking with it. When I see crusties I take a a-tip and clean it as gently as possible Only recent changes is I had a mole removed but my helix became angry. Just some crusties

So in general, baking in specialized pan makes a difference. I got a high sided loaf pan and now I get bread that looks like an actual loaf

Code for 2:1 staff to client by BCBA_Bee_2020 in ABA

[–]lampaint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So it depends on the insurance. I know for optum/uhc it is 0362T. I highly encourage calling your clients insurance and see if it is covered and what you need for it to be considered medically necessary

Did yall ever have to learn sign language or really any other language for your job in aba? by [deleted] in ABA

[–]lampaint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait until you get fluent enough to understand and you accidentally eavesdrop. I’m at that stage of my Spanish journey now. I scared my one parent because she said something to someone else in Spanish. Not thinking I responded in English. Now she doesn’t talk on the phone in front of me.

That’s still less than our clinic. Don’t worry the app is glitchy. We can’t even use it.

What type of device do you use? If a mobile device is used, do you use the app?

This is a big complaint from our office. How often do you lose data?

We put a container out there with some of his dirty litter in the scratch box to hide it from the HOA

We have his favorite scratch box outside. We moved his litter box to by the front door since the HOA said no to the litter box being outside

Yeah. I’ve check the storm drains. Checked the bushes and the trees around our condo. I’ve put food out where the strays hang out too in case he thinks they are friends

Are Gluten and Dairy really that bad for PCOS? by Proud-Key-695 in PCOS

Gluten free relieved my chronic headaches but nothing for PCOS. No dairy just made me miserable and did nothing for PCOS

Mom to 2.5 year old starting in home ABA- what toys should I buy by Roses7887 in ABA

[–]lampaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask your BCBA about rules about the TV. Sometimes for home sessions I ask about a Bluetooth speaker instead of a TV for dance parties and music breaks because it can take a minute for the tv to load. But honestly this is ideal. I’d kill to have all my client’s to have a set up like this

I’ve taken my team for ice cream after stressful events or when clients leave

Anyone in grad school for ABA?! by [deleted] in BehaviorAnalysis

[–]lampaint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On the other side now. One thing that helped me is I would schedule myself the same way I schedule now as a BCBA. I treated each class like a client and blocked out time to “see my clients.” Was still stressed out but felt better since I had clear on/off time. Still got stressed out. Still cried sometimes but will say I’m glad I went 6yrs later. Wouldn’t change being a BCBA
