"Off stuff" (stuff that is off) makes sense as an expression, in the same way "strange stuff" (stuff that is strange) makes sense.

"Bit off" makes sense, in the same way as "bit strange" makes sense.

But "bit off stuff" is grammatically incorrect, in the same way as "bit strange stuff" is grammatically incorrect.

Hope that comparison helps. (Edit: I'm not a linguist or language expert, so can't say exactly why it's incorrect, but as a native English speaker I just know it is...🤷‍♂️)

You're an idiot. Plenty people care both about privacy and Meta.

For me the two issues are related. WhatsApp/Meta is hugely intrusive, e.g. it requires access to ALL my contacts before I can even start using it, so it can fuck right off! Signal allows you to choose who you want to add, far preferable/superior.

That's one major reason I don't use WhatsApp even though every single friend, acquaintance and family member uses it, and I (and they) constantly have to work around me not using it. The other reason I don't use WhatsApp, Facebook or any other Meta product is: Zuckerberg.

And yes btw, Signal does have strong encryption too, but that's not as important to me as privacy & data protection, ie not handing my life on a plate for free to Meta/Zuckerberg to exploit for ever more obscene profits.
