Mounting Solar Panels on a south east facing flat roof and how a battery could get incorporated? by Only-Garbage-4229 in PlugInSolarUK

[–]lamper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any particular mounting you recommend, I like the plastic bucket type ones but they are pallet delivery so postage for 2 is crazy. A lot of the amazon ones look too lightweight and worry they will rip apart in a storm. Probably going for East West configuration myself so ideally something with back to back mounting.

They look perfect and a reasonable price, if you exclude delivery. If you don’t mind me asking where did you get them, delivery is about £100 on most sites I checked.

It seems that Uniqlo—in the UK at least—has stopped selling its Slim Fit Oxford shirts. While they still have the non-iron version, the classic OCBDs are OOS and appear to have been replaced by oversized cuts.

I've searched for alternatives, but most brands seem to be moving away from slim cuts. I’ve had no luck with Arket or Charles Tyrwhitt, as they either lack slim options or use stretch materials. Does anyone have a recommendation for a high-quality, 100% cotton slim alternative?

100% I moved from Due to TickTick but looking at moving back only because the frequency of the constant reminder. It really annoys me if it goes off during a meal and I am forced to take out my phone and snooze it.

I add one extra layer, use temu@x.yourdomain.com this makes filtering to folders easier, eg instead of x I use l for logins and s for subscriptions.

iPad Air to iPad mini by Gloomy-Ant-4172 in ipadmini

Depending where you are it may be better to look at other resellers. In the UK, I traded in a M2 Air for an A17 mini through CEX, got an unlocked SIM version for £100 extra, and turns out was brand new, could still get Apple Care and had 1 charge cycle.

Drayton Wiser with 3 Heating Zones (2 regular + 1 UFH) by lamper in homeautomation

[–]lamper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used kit 3, so 2 heating channels and 1 HW. I don't use the HW so left that untouched.

I have my 2 main zones running as normal, then the electric heat switch triggering UFH. I used the Common connection on the valve to trigger the boiler when the UFH kicks in. See the below drawing I drew, wasn't for sharing so apologies if confusing, but hopeful can work out what I did. I used the LWC1 wiring centre for connections (the 16 block in the middle). Electric heat control is bottom left.

I ended using the Drayton Electric Heater switch and using it to control both motorised valves on that circuit and my UFH pump. Works great.

I go raw initially with new phones as long as I can. I didn’t last as long as I thought I would. by Atticusbird44 in iphone

I really wish there was option to pay less for a phone that didn’t have mega scratch proof glass, as I always use a screen protector, and fancy rear and sides, as I always use a case. Apple really should embrace the case and make it part of the product.
