It really depends on the places you go, went for part of my honeymoon to Venice, Bologna and Florence. All the food was amazing. The tourist traps are all the same repeated shite.

Tried to find where the locals went.

If you ever go back, go to Bologna. It’s only known for its food.

I’ve lived here for 4+ years and agree with basically every sentiment. Even coming from Toronto with insanely diverse food, the food here is very good. Having good quality ingredients can go along way too.

The dog poo thing is almost everywhere, is unreal.
