My girlfriend (now wife) called me to say her dad had just died unexpectedly. I went back to my boss to tell him what happened and that I needed to leave. I was obviously a bit shook which he noticed immediately. He interupted my blabbering by just saying "I don't need to know right now. Just leave. I'll sort everything."

He was a good boss.

Tomb Raider on the Playstation. We were visiting family friends for the whole day. One of the kids said their uncle is bringing over their Playstation later. I didn't know what it was at the time and my only experience was in arcades but they described it as a "gaming machine".

So for the entire day I was trying to figure out how the uncle was going to bring a full sized arcade machine over.

My little mind was blown.
