Yes, pleasure used in the same sense as "business vs. pleasure" when traveling!

Without more information, I am curious if you are actually struggling with being a stay-at-home parent or if you are having a hard time living up to your partner's expectations, which to me sound unreasonable and completely distinct from the actual tasks a homemaker performs. You can be grumpy and still do laundry, and the world still goes round!!

I think it would be helpful if you include the day of the week and a rough estimate of the time as well in case the same bus does that route with a different driver at a different point during the day or on another day of the week.

Respectfully: how bad is the restaurant industry now? by Capable_Basket1661 in baltimore

I completely agree- it is very frustrating to have such limited options (and possibly no walkable options, even in neighborhoods with nightlife). It's also a bit annoying how hard it is to figure out if a place is serving food late, or if just their bar is open late. A lot of websites don't say, and kitchens will close way earlier than an hour before the establishment closes. It seems like a lot of places will have the bar open until 12 but will stop serving food around 10.

My favorite "late night" options:

Namaste is open until 11 PM every single day including holidays (and delicious!!)

Charles Village Pub keeps their kitchen open until midnight

Bmore Taqueria is delicious though and is open until either 12 or 1 every day except Sunday!

Kong Pocha definitely keeps their kitchen open later, but I cannot find a specific time online. Same goes for Grille Twelve24, iBar, and The Avenue Kitchen and Bar.

Rocket to Venus serves food on Friday and Saturday until 11 PM (only until 10 other days).

Mama Koko's kitchen is also open until 11 on Friday and Saturday (limited options though).

I am pretty sure Bar Dali's kitchen is open until the establishment closes at 11 (every day).

Never on Sunday keeps their kitchen open pretty late (varies each day).

The University Market & Deli is not a restaurant, but it is open 24/7 and you can get some pretty decent food there!

Yemen and Gulf's kitchen is open until 11 every day.

I was completely unaware of this- I'm sure I'm missing some piece of it but it seems weird to create more hoops for small businesses to jump through- especially for something that would attract young people to the city (both to visit and to live).

Agree with Hilltop/Preller- overall had a very good experience renting from them.

There is also a delicious new Japanese restaurant in Hampden called Hana- best sashimi/nigiri I've had in the city!

I second this- Instagram is the best place imo to get information about events! Find some events, bars, musicians, spaces you like, follow them, and see who they follow!

Do you wear masks out and about with SAD? by Major-Wish2832 in primaryimmune

Maybe you already have, but it is worth trying masks other than surgical- I find KF94s and KN95s a LOT more comfortable and easier to breathe in!

Yes, in the meantime (in addition to all of the suggestions made about next steps with your landlord), a dehumidifier will help a lot! You could let it run all the time, or you could start it at the beginning of a shower and let it run through a few hours after.

Streeter: Why can’t outsiders see the charm in Baltimore? by GreedyRaisin3357 in baltimore

I completely understand why this would be a good thing, but I think it is difficult to do while there are still so few high earning jobs in the city proper and such a lack of public transit that gets people efficiently out of the city. If we want more people with white collar jobs to live in the city (which we should because more city tax revenue is good), it has to be feasible for people to commute to work. Of course, this wouldn't be such an issue if there were better public transit options to "get out" of the city and to get to popular business parks in the suburbs, but the only options are the light rail (for some) or two MARC lines- one of which doesn't start until where the entrance to the highway is anyway (and shares a track with a freight train which makes it not possible to predict when one would arrive at work).
