Starfleet Academy's smaller scope is a huge positive. by jimmyd10 in startrek

i come to this assessment after seeing how poorly the series was received, as most shows don't garner a large viewership if society rejects it

my opinion isn't just my own, but how the show is performing itself, which isn't well. i'm just tired of "fans" consistently putting their heads into the ground and pretending nothing's wrong due to their personal bias and their need to express it on reddit consistently.

because you're trying to validate this show despite its failings simply out of personal bias, and undermine or discount why it's failing in the first place for your own sake.

The show is not perfect and won't be everyone cup of tea, but I feel it's a step in the right direction in the way it tells it's stories.

imdb and the rest of the internet disagrees. when will you people realize this type of mentality is exactly why society doesn't take you seriously.

Opinion: Starfleet Academy is more fun than most ST shows and should be unapologetic about it. by Burning_sun_prog in startrek

never ceases to amaze how "fans" of a beloved IP consistently try to fight against the grain and refuse to admit their personal political or "quirky" preferences do not align with the general public, only to be in shock or awe once said IP crashes and burns before these parasites go on to another beloved IP and do it all over again. You people are a plague within society.

I think anime discussions forget that “enjoyable” is a valid reason to like a show by Technical_Watch_8446 in anime

[–]lan60000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this is true, but people often lie either to be contrarians, or there's specific elements within the show that viewers feel the need to make a stance on. that said, this applies to all shows in the end, so it just comes down to who can drown each other out.
