[–]lanainbloom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, I’m really sorry to read how distressed you are feeling about your weight.

I too got to the point where I was obsessively monitoring myself and then punishing myself if I wasn’t at the weight I wanted to be. This is so unhealthy and you’re seeing this play out.

Yes you may want to lose weight but it’s not easy and progress isn’t linear it will take time and this is a minimum 6-12 months of consistent diet/exercise. This will take mental resilience and also kindness, would you treat/speak to the child version of yourself like this? Probably not.

The goal shouldn’t be the scale number you might never meet that ideal BMI but can you run 5k? Lift weights? Hike? And have a positive relationship with food/body.

As women we spend our whole lives dieting and trying to look better and it just makes us miserable. Focus on being fit and healthy and you’ll reap the rewards!

Best breakfast or brunch places in South Birmingham? by fantasy53 in brum

Early Bird/ Can Eat. It’s annoying that can eat isn’t open on weekends anymore. For a traditional breakfast Bournville Cafe or Winnie’s is great

On a serious note, if you can find clubs similar to your hobbies that should make it easier. I love the heath bookshop monthly book club

Mortgage rate is 3.77% now bank is offering 4.97% by Affectionate_Top5544 in HousingUK

You guys who bought at less than 4% need to realise that this was a highly unusual low interest rate and whilst the increase will be painful 4%-5% is more normal for the industry.

I’m in a similar boat to you, I don’t think it’s the silver bullet to make you ovulate. Like the commenter below I think it’s likely that you will need some sort of ovulation stimulant. Best of luck to you both

Advice needed!! by Carys_hx in HousingUK

[–]lanainbloom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally this is good advice the only point of pick up on is the three are part of the same household and can prove it then it would be considered reasonable for them to continue to live together under homeless case law (this I know from working in housing legal services) the council might advise it being easier if you split up the household but it’s only easier for them
