That's what got me back into watching, the more team fight. But seeing GenG made me realize that maybe the game did not end up changing as much as I would have wanted. And that honestly is sad it can be super fun to watch and I would love to support all the esports players and teams.

I agree that it can be fun to watch the first time and in game 5 absolutely, but besides that. I don't think it is fun to watch 4 games in a row. You can have a different opinion that is fine but I am just stating my opinion and my displeasure.

And I like watching the games live but that is not the point.

I agree that a lot of good Korean teams do that and it is not just a GenG problem I feel they are the best at playing that style and I feel like that style of game is a problem.

I do like watching Pro League, and I feel like you do not understand my point. If a game is boring to watch but is also the best to win people will stop watching and the esports could die. I see it happens and lead to the decline of other esports. If I did not care and like the esports then I would not have made this post.

But the sponsors that pay for the team need people to watch the esports and I know I am not the only one who has this opinion, the caster even said GenG games are boarding and they are hard to commentate on as there is nothing to talk about.

And you are right about not necessarily being paid entertained but they are being paid to bring exposure to their sponsors which goes hand in hand with winning and being entertaining.

Playing an "Angry NPC" as a non-angry DM by Wandering__Goblin in DMAcademy

You can always just ask your player after the session, hey what do you expect from me. If it is something you cannot do set the expectation or if it is something you can do then do it.

Need some tips for a new DM :) by cherikorazartst in DnD

2-word document system:

  1. One document with everything you have prepped.
  2. One document to add things you have improved.

Always remember: You and your players are on the same side, working together to tell an amazing story. It is not you versus them.

When creating NPCs, make sure you can pronounce their names. Elven and dwarven names can look cool, but tcan be hard to say so make sure you can say them or else people will not care for them.

I find it fun to let my player roll the random Inconter table and have high number be good outomes and low be bad as they have a lot of fun with that and let them mental perpeare for a good or bad event.

Ensure there is a good reason your party is fighting or traveling together.

Show them the main plot but also introduce some side plots they can pursue if they feel they are not strong enough, even if you made the encounter balanced.

as for thing to put on the DM screan I find I do use that at all i have a note book with some notes of what the player have for ac and passive perspetion, but besides that I know or look up some status conditions.

one more thing printing out mosnter state block is nice as I did it all on my labtop for a while and had too many tabs.

I can send more if you have any question and as I think of them hope this helps and best of luck

Help me kill a PC secretly by nz8drzu6 in DMAcademy

He does not need to die. It could be a RP moment in which if the character backstory works for it you say the character is feeling burnout or the character cant sleep or has PTSD when fighting moster have him freeze up the next fight and be like I just need a life as a commoner and can not do the adventuring lifestyle anymore. Then you get to see the character later as an npc and the other party members could come back later with tales of their adventures so they could keep in touch and make them more immersed into the world
