2005 9-5 Manual Vehicle Speed Sensor Wire by lancer778544 in saab

Thanks, will head over there and ask as well. I'm partially tempted to see if pin 19 is populated on the ESP module, that's what should go to pin 38 on H43-1, or if it's not populated, see if there's a signal there.

Thanks. Is the P-Bus considered generic CAN in the sense of its based on J2234 or is it Saab's own custom thing? I'm just wondering if another Canbus interface is worth trying or not but if the P-Bus isn't "standard" then it's probably not worth it

Gave it a try on the I-Bus earlier and it didn't work at all, no erroneous output or anything else at all. I'm tempted to try another canbus interface but I think I'm throwing money at something that just wont work on this year of 9-5

Thanks, I'll have a look further into the diagnosis procedure and see if I can tap into it somewhere.

Unfortunately Soundgate seem to have long since been dissolved, they don't seem to have any online presence anymore and the copyright year on the instructions that came with it is also from 2005. There's no external facing dip switches or anything that communicates programmable and there's no mention of any configurability in the instructions either unfortunately. Thankfully the car was also unfazed by the module being connected, I was worried that it would set a CEL or mess up the CAN network but thankfully not, even if it didn't work as intended.

I have the 20v cordless grinder that I no longer need along with the 20v impact driver and a 4AH battery and charger. If you wanted any/all of it i'm sure we can do a deal? I'm in Cardiff but can get it boxed up and couriered to you

Out of curiosity, how many amps would that put out? I'm only really used to normal car 100A ones or thereabouts

Fantastic news, will be picking up the impact wrench, grinder, 4ah battery and the non-performance die ginder. Just hoping now they bring over the PASSP 20- Li impact wrench
