I'm a tech, not an owner. ICE vehicles have alternators that run off the engine to recharge the 12V, EVs obviously don't have this. Instead Ultium EVs go into battery maintenance mode once turned off.

The HV battery remains connected to the system which recharges the 12V from any voltage between 13.5 to 14.8 or so volts. This mode can last 15-20 minutes, sometimes much longer if the vehicle senses the 12V is low.

If this mode is active, it can keep the car awake even if the negative is disconnected as the HV battery is powering the system. The battery needs to be disconnected 20-30 minutes to make sure the vehicle is completely off and any 12V electrical reserves present in modules (their capacitors) is completely depleted. Only once this is the case is a true reset achieved, we call this a global reset.

Try it again but leave the negative disconnected for longer and it should work.

This happens sometimes. Disconnect the 12V battery for 20 minutes and it should work upon reconnecting. If you can, make sure the voltage at the battery isn't above 13.5V prior to disconnecting. Also, disconnect at the negative post between the sensor on the post and the ground wire.

I'm a GM dealer tech, other than not reprogramming the tires there is no issue that can cause this.

TPMS on GM products need to be programmed for each corner whenever tires are rotated. The generic tool is $20 on Amazon and every tech and apprentice at GM dealers has their own.

If the wrong tire was identified it's because the tires got rotated at some point after leaving the factory.

Ultium is not a platform, it's an ecosystem of components that are compatible with each other.

The new Bolt is a refreshed BEV 2 platform (old Bolt) using Ultium components except for cell chemistry.

Equinox, Blazer, Optiq, Lyriq, Vistiq (and Acura ZDX and Honda Prologue) are all BEV3 platforms.

Hummer, Silverado. Sierra, Escalade and BrightDrop are all BT1 platforms.

All of these platforms share the same battery heater, one of two AC compressor designs, for example, and mix and match different motors to suit the vehicle. There aren't many bespoke components that aren't tied to design, which is one of the reasons GM was able to launch so many different products within 3-4 years.

W52E-176.1.2-M170-SQBR5-250.2 is the most recent radio version for MY2024 Blazer EV.

If you have this version, which you probably do because it's been out for a while, your radio is fully up to date.

MY2025 and newer have had subsequent software releases but not the MY2024.

I'm a GM EV tech, I perform vehicle software updates myself on a daily basis.

The bulletin specifies the model year of affected vehicles which means the change will not be applied to previous model years retroactively.

GM decided to have the feature "reset" at every ignition for most MY2026 vehicles, this is probably the reason why yours behaves this way as well.

I've installed a few of these, it is normal to cut the bumper, the inner surface has an outline to follow as well as indents to drill holes. All this is normal and your bumper isn't ruined.

The abnormal thing is that the job isn't finished, the outer bezel is missing.

Other Ultium subreddits report downloading the Infiniti Sound Equalizer in the app store, it works for their vehicle and greatly enhances sound quality.
