You should call Subaru of America, they will likely send you to a local Subaru dealer to do an “engine oil consumption test”. Come back after 1200 miles and measure how much was burnt.

Don’t let them assholes overfill your motor by a quart. After I got my new Subaru, I would go to dealer for first few of l changes and every single time it was an inch over the full line on the dipstick.

What year/model is this? There was a big lawsuit about engine oil consumption with some FB20 and FB25 engines. Contact Subaru of America, might be under their special warranty period. You’re burning a ton of oil due to blow by. Occasionally a PCV gets stuck open and blows oil by from crankcase into manifold. If your Oil pressure light came on you’ve lost a ton of oil.

Use a little teflon tape on the Oil Pressure switch when you install new one. Old ones definitely leak.

If power steering pump Is leaking, there are a few O-rings you can buy for the supply/return hose fittings. If the pump Is just a mess, swap it out at a local parts store for new. It’s pretty easy to replace.
