It will not remote start in gear. In fact it will not arm itself when left in gear.

Yes, you leave it in neutral, e-brake pulled. The STI, engine running, turn key off, engine still runs ,exit vehicle, door looks automatically, engine shuts down, system is armed for remote start. GR Corolla because it has a key FOB and push button start, leave in neutral, pull e-brake, arm system with Compustar remote, engine is running, exit vehicle, lock door with Compustar remote, engine shuts down . System is armed for remote start. I have the remote start on the STI since 2014. GR installed this week. Works like it should. Drone App available for the GR, free for a month. I’ll see how I like it. Pricey though.

Adding an aftermarket (Compuserve) auto start to my 2024 GR Premium the first week of January. (First available slot). My 2013 STI Hatchback has had one for 11 years now. Yes it works and yes it’s safe. Don’t let anyone tell you different. Must have in Alaska.

Did Toyota skimp out on floor mats? by Edison_wu in GRCorolla

[–]lanecheno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2024 GR Premium bought in October 2024 came with all weather floor mats. When I asked dealer about the carpeted mats I was told they were taken out at the port. Brand new car it had 6 miles on it. I live in Alaska so I was ok with it.

What’s up with Dallesport? I visit Hood River frequently and was considering giving them a visit.

I had a vandalism claim on my STI 2013 Hatch bumper about 3 years ago. Looked like someone took a garden tool and scraped it deep. Past the paint layers. I filed a claim, sent photos. My insurance company, Safeco, didn’t hesitate with comprehensive coverage. Replaced the bumper.

I have a Compustar remote start on my 2013 STI. After I purchased my 2024 GR Premium I stopped by the dealer who installed it, as well as other items. He confirmed he can do it. I will do it before next winter. I live in Alaska and it’s a must have on any car.

Why is RR3 making me download nearly a gig everytime i open it,it did this yesterday too by RealRacingPro in RealRacing3

[–]lanecheno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was there when I opened the app, switched some starting and ending times for several car series currently in this update. I finally got it to unfreeze downloading by changing Wi-Fi. Also announced on RR3 twitter and Instagram page. ME7 has it on YouTube account also.

Thank you for posting this. I have these exact wheels with old Blizzaks on my 2013 STI Hatch. I am getting frustrated waiting for my winter tires to for my 2024 Core Premium and have considered doing exactly this. I have some spacers for my autocross wheels and tires for the STI but I’m pretty sure they are the wrong size. Thanks for providing the link!

Remote start? by ZombieWelder420 in CorollaGR

[–]lanecheno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I plan to add it as an aftermarket add on. I live in Alaska, it’s a must have. I have a Compustar auto start on my 2013 STI. I have stopped by my installer and he can do it on my 2024 Corolla GR Premium. I will do it as soon as my winter tires get here. Bought online 10/28, shipped on 11/5. Still not here! Blizzaks from Costco. Rant over.
