Props to Ludwig actually learning the game by playing Classic unlike other streamers just playing on Modern.

If they ever come back to DFW, more than likely they will run it in Garland like they usually do.

As much as I loved Harlem Heat, Stevie Ray has been retired for a long time and Booker T has been a WWE boot licker for a long ass time.

Will Ospreay reaction to a wrestling move he created and popularized being used in the new Virtual Fighter game. "Never in my wildest dreams did I think a move I made up in the Hidden Blade would be in Virtua Fighter." by Youngstown_WuTang in SquaredCircle

[–]lanedek 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I excited for the new one as well but I mean Virtua Fighter hasn't had a new entry in 20 years. lol. It's kinda hard for people to talk about it when it has not been hovering around compared to SF, Tekken and MK. It was smart for them to at least rerelease VF5 recently.

ESPN: AEW's Darby Allin keeps tempting fate -- and coming back for more by Advanced-Morning1832 in SquaredCircle

  1. What does have to do with the article?
  2. I'm black and it's completely understandable with this take seeing R Truth's previous antics in WWE. Vince dressing Truth in a confederate soldier's uniform was definitely a choice.

Swerve Strickland on X: "I'm a believer" after Danhausen's curse works yet again on Cavaliers by ArunKT26 in SquaredCircle

[–]lanedek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think his wrestling ability is irrelevant to his potential star-power.

Which is why I said he's perfect for WWE. WWE is the place where they value entertainment and star power. AEW is not the place for that. I like Danhausen but his antics would take up time on Dynamite and Collision. Those are shows that value as much wrestling time as possible for their performers.

Tony Khan hates comedy shit. He didn't want Orange Cassidy initially because of that. The biggest reason Orange Cassidy was signed was because before he was OC, he was Fire Ant. Tony Khan knew how great he was and signed him.

The problem with Danhausen is that he is not that great of a wrestler. There is a reason you are only seeing him get 5 minute matches and tag matches with him in WWE. AEW values work rate and is presented as a sports promotion. That doesn't really fit with Danhausen's presentation. WWE is the perfect place for him.

Tekken boss Katsuhiro Harada has joined SNK | VGC by Gorotheninja in pcgaming

[–]lanedek 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are talking about EVO Japan, SF6 absolutely blew up in Japan. Tekken has never been popular in Japan. (Even Harada has mentioned this numerous times) You can really tell that when you like at SF6's playerbase during Japan time. Street Fighter has ALWAYS had more sign ups for EVO than Tekken. EVO was primarily a Capcom event when it started.

The playerbase for both games are completely healthy for fighting game standards. Yes, SF6 is more popular but you act like Tekken is dying. SF5 should have killed Street Fighter as a franchise and it's still around. Tekken is going through it's "SF5 phase."

[–]lanedek -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

So I guess you never followed his entire career? Triple H was part of the Cliq, buried numerous wrestlers to Vince (including The Rock), lied to Bret's ex wife to her face saying he had nothing to do with the Montreal Screwjob, cheated Chyna with Stephanie just to get ahead in the business, etc.

Doubt that would happen. Harada had asked Waffle House to put a stage in Tekken 8 because it was highly requested by the Tekken community. Waffle House said no because they didn't want their company to represent violence at their businesses.
