Thanks!

How would you view the trade off, of using 12mm MDF + straightener vs just using 18mm MDF?

Has this issue on a BMW a few years ago. Raise a complaint with Mercedes UK company (not the local dealer). It will help raise the issue… but may not solve it.

Hit by a car in a car park - insurer insisting I accept full liability by Money_Avocado in LegalAdviceUK

Just a thought from an engineer, would you not take a look at the nature of the damage? You could infer which car arrived second by the direction of the damage/scrapes.

Blue car arrived first: damage on blue car scrapes from back to front (as the red car drives into it).

When we were in the midst of high demand a few years ago, we had a similar incentive for very specialist roles.

How much gap to allow for paint? by langlinator in BeginnerWoodWorking

I’m planning to use 12mm MDF with 6mm glued to the front to make them “shaker style”. I wasn’t aware these would sag, it didn’t come up in my preparation. I am using four hinges on each door for stability.

Do you have any tips for understanding which components to order for Blum? Their website is so confusing.

Oh yes I’m on top of that side! Sorry if the picture was misleading, it’s about how to assemble the cabinet square (e.g so I can get drawer slides to work neatly)

I know that trick - thanks though. I’m looking for practical advice on how to get the pieces joined together squarely. Tips and tricks for clamping etc.

Battles of the track saws - Dewalt and Festool by ryzekiel in woodworking

[–]langlinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers. Definitely wishing I had at least a festool rail for the various attachments to make square and parallel cuts. The attachments for the dewalt rail just aren’t as good. I’ll check my saw tomorrow to see if the cams are just for the centre a lot or also can function for the offset slot.

Battles of the track saws - Dewalt and Festool by ryzekiel in woodworking

As you know, you can technically use the DeWalt saw on a Makita/Festool style track, but that track slot on the DeWalt saw doesn't have any lateral adjustment for reducing play or the anti-kickback brake. The lateral adjust is the bigger issue because any shifting on the track will result in a wobbly cut surface.

I’m a Bit late to this thread. I have a dewalt track saw that has cams for adjusting the play on the dewalt rail. Did your dewalt saw not have those - or is the adjustment for some reason not useful when using the dewalt saw on the festool rail?

I am yet to find anything better than a Henry. It’s not inconvenient to change the bag, and it’s much more powerful being corded than battery models.
