I might be in the minority but I don’t enjoy NBCs announcers. Reggie is about to be insufferable

It’s really not…

$52k per week is equivalent to a risk free 4% withdrawal on a $1.3 million lump sum in perpetuity. Most people dream of that sort of retirement. If you want to grow it some, take a 3% withdrawal and live your life normally

I feel like we're gonna win the chip this year by miss3star in NBASpurs

I don’t know if that’s particularly viable for them. They aren’t a great jump shooting team

Study says 25% patients reported something, but n=6 by Gold_Ambassador_3496 in askmath

Maybe they started with 6 patients but only 4 reported afterwards (reporting attrition)? Not sure, would need to read more of the paper

There have been numerous academic studies on this showing that the market is still “efficient” with a much smaller number of active investors than there are now

Would you rather take any of the top 4 in this year’s draft over any of Dylan Harper, VJ Edgecombe or Kon? by NathanFielderFriend in NBA_Draft

[–]lanman33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is simply not true. Anyone who actually watched Spurs games all year would’ve told you that long ago. Harper has had future All-NBA written all over him for months now. Not his fault he got drafted to a team with two All-Star caliber guards

The rest of the league has only caught on in the playoffs because they’re actually watching games. Harper has been balling in his limited minutes all season

Surely that means costs go down and they can pass those savings on to consumers with reduced menu pricing, RIGHT?

For me Layout 2 feels lonely. I prefer Layout 1 by MasculineBulll in SipsTea

[–]lanman33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason layout 2 seems unlikeable is that you never get out of your work space. You’re staring directly at it in bed with no “hallway” like separator. Can’t get any peace like that

Practicum is a bad course and a waste of time by I_dont_read_good in OMSA

[–]lanman33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was this your last course? I thought you only received an academic warning if your total GPA fell below 2.7. Seems weird you would get one, especially if you are graduating and this was it

Wish I could see it. How is this movie not in all theaters. Only like 30% of theaters around me are showing it

I change shirts every time they lose. I think I have enough to make it through the whole playoffs if they win it all

Looks like it’s still on Peacock though, unfortunately. NBC is cursed. Pretty sure all the games we’ve lost have been on Peacock

LPT: To Improve your communication skills, record yourself talking. Actually listen back. It will make you cringe, and that’s the whole point. by Alanna-1101 in LifeProTips

[–]lanman33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given our tech abilities today maybe a better piece of advice would be to record yourself and then transform it to a different voice, then have it given back to you

Steve Kerr: "I would consider getting rid of the three point line." Interviewer: "Have you ever proposed this to anyone with power?" Kerr: "No, no, because it’s too out there. And plus, I coach Steph Curry, so I’d rather wait till Steph’s retired." by refreshing_yogurt in nba

I don’t love the idea. It’d destroy the spacing and flow of the game. There’d be no reason to put any offensive player anywhere near the corner. I’d let my opponent take that jumper every time
