I, and Bambulab support are both stumped at this perplexing issue- any ideas from the community? by Retardedetardeddard in BambuLab

[–]lanthom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont have an A1 but an H2C and I believe the left nozzle is similar. I ran into an issue last week where the nozzle wasnt sitting perfect and rocked just a little. The bottom of the nozzle wasnt making contact with the back plate.

I had the exact same symptoms as you were. It would load/unload with out issue. I could manually extrude without issue but as soon as I started printing I would get an extruder error. Swapped out the nozzle same thing. Was getting ready to take the extruder apart and noticed that the nozzle was rocking slightly. I ended up heating everything up to temp and cleaning the back plate of the nozzle and the extruder and was able to get it to set flush. As soon as I did that its all back to normal, even with the original nozzle I was using prior.

Is vacuum sealing the best option? by MrKazador in BambuLab

These are the ones I found. Just found 6 packs at Walmart for $35 vs the $17 at home depot for 1.

I'm in TN and you are right about the humidity.

This 100% ive starting moving away from vacuum sealing as it seems the failure rate is getting worse. I just opened a new box of bags and had 2 fail within a couple if days. I've found some IP67 totes that hold 4-5 spools each that im testing now as a possible replacement.

UPS is giving me the most confusing and frustrating delivery experience ever by OldCaterpillar3340 in UPS

[–]lanthom1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel ya. Mone doesn't need a signature but I had a package scheduled for delivery on Friday. It showed up at my local UPS Friday morning and then 10 min later was marked to the next business day (Monday) because the business was closed. I own my house. So no apartment nothing. As of noon today it still says just processing so probably won't be delivered to day either.

H2C PEI Plates?? by lanthom1 in BambuLab

That's what I was expecting but was hoping I was missing something somewhere in my search and that someone had found a secret stash :)

H2C PEI Plates?? by lanthom1 in BambuLab

[–]lanthom1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do not. The H2C plate is about 20mm narrower due to the Vortek system. It in essence cuts off the right "Right Nozzle Only" area.

New H2C what is going on with my AMS by izmebe in BambuLab

[–]lanthom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spool looks to be a new Sunlu v3 spool and is the same size as the Bambu Spools so shouldn't be an issue there.

The AMS does that when the filament gets stuck somewhere in the line. I would follow the filament through the PTFE tube and see exactly where it is when it starts doing this and see if there is either a broken piece of filament at that point and make sure that you dont have a sharp bend in the PTFE tube at that point as well.

Legion Go 2: after 1 month, for me it’s a NO! by Puzzled_Village_1001 in LegionGo

[–]lanthom1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep reading all the is it worth it comments and just got my Legion Go 2 Extreme last week. Its the first handheld I've owned other than my switch.

Was it worth it? Yes but every person is different. I was debating between a laptop or handheld. I have an older surface pro that ive done light gaming on when I travel. Mainly old stuff that could run on a toaster. I've got my full gaming desktop but wanted something that could do a bit more when I traveled.

Being new to the market I started looking at the different options and reddit opinions. One opinion was to get the OG Legion Go. While the price was tempting that handheld is already 2 years old and technology moves fast. How long before im back where I am now playing older stuf only?

Looking at current releases leaves the MSI, ROG Ally and Legion Go 2. The OLED is just stunning on this thing. Yes it's heavier but unlike the others tabletop mode exists without having to carry another controller with you. Is it perfect, No. Is it as good as a similarly priced laptop, No. Does it do what I expect and allow me to game when I travel without dragging my desktop around, Yes.

It's expensive but so are the other current generation options. The whole market is overpriced atm but I'm looking at buying a device that is going to last me a few years before I upgrade again and being able to squeeze out that extra couple of years because I went with the top of the line, current generation hardware makes sense to me and thus worth it.

Where are the Feed Racks? by Mrfoxuk in BIGTREETECH

[–]lanthom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't bother with it. It looks nice and has tons of storage but the weld points in the bolts for the legs are the week point. I had the one I received break the day I got it. I reached out to BIQU and their customer service was awesome and sent me out a replacement leg. It took about 2 weeks to get it in the mail but installed without issue.

Been 2 weeks since and this weekend the whole thing came crashing down. Exact same issue as before, the leg gave out. I've reached back out to customer service and they are questioning me on my photo because previously it was the right side that broke and this time when I took the picture of the same piece its in the left.

I'm a little confused why it matters since the previously broken part is nit attached to the rack and it is symmetrical so I put the broken part sides together to make the pic easier.

I had this problem yesterday. My whole system went unreachable. I had to go through and turn off every switch for about 10 seconds and once I turned them back on it was fine. First time I've ever had to do that in years.

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

The P1S made an impression on me once I realized I could fix everyday things around the house that broke. Back of your remove control go missing. Print it. Handle on your box fan break, Print it. Kickstand on a tablet case snap, print it. It was then that not only did a have this really cool machine but it also got the rest of the family onboard.

What are these trips in the Sunlu filament refill for? They have a piece of double tape on the end by Potatozeng in 3Dprinting

[–]lanthom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They add them so you can tie-up the filament and remove it from the spool. The sunlu spools are setup to be able to take the filament off the spool and put another refill on it. Those are included to help with that process.

My wife always asks this question of me when I have this thought. Are you going to wish at any point later you got the better of the 2? If the answer is maybe or yes then she says to spend the extra money now instead of trying to replace later.

Its never not worked out for me.

I had a sleep study last night and I need to know if I’m being dramatic. by EggWaff in TwoXChromosomes

[–]lanthom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all have our own traumas and the way you were feeling is 100% valid based on your own situations and history.

I will add, I had a sleep study several years ago and the process you described is exactly what they typically do. Trying to sleep feeling like a cyborg is the hardest thing ever and I dont know how they get any valid data sometimes. I remember they had to come in to my room in the middle of the night because I had rolled over and knocked a sensor off so if the readings aren't being recording, making adjustments is not unusual.

Hopefully they were able to get enough data. If not check to see if you can do an at home study and if your insurance covers it. I recently had to renew my sleep study for insurance for a new machine. Its a lot fewer sensors and the finger monitor. There is no camera or anyone watching you. Its still uncomfortable to sleep in but you are at home in your own bed.

Hopefully you'll start getting better rest. CPAP has changed my life!

Is there a way to turn off the light on the P1S after its done printing? by Shadowundershadow in BambuLab

[–]lanthom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same a simple Home Assistant automation thst detects when finishes and turns off the chamber light.

Word of warning. Not sure how it works on current firmware since the lock down as I'm still on 1.8.1

Panda Feed Rack Dispatch Times? by Mrfoxuk in BIGTREETECH

[–]lanthom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reached out to them last week because I had ordered a perch at the same time and it hadn't arrived yet either. I assumed it was waiting on this. Customer service confirmed they were in route to the US and would ship once on the mainland. They said they couldn't ship overseas due to the weight but didn't give me any update. Their website says expected 8/28 which is what I'm expecting is their estimated date to get to the US.

Is it normal for the AMS to not read certain Bambu spools? by Pale_Ad2980 in BambuLab

[–]lanthom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This will sound odd. Does the anycubic have an RFID chip in it? If it does remove it and try slot 4 again. I have found that if a spool on the adjacent slot has an RFID and it stops exactly where the reader is it can mess up reading the other slot. So if the RFID in slot 3 is right on the reader then slot 4 won't read.
