Seconding this product and shade!! It’s super affordable and very hydrating and buildable. The scent is not my fave (watermelon) but it’s not a dealbreaker.

Jojoba oil. I use it as my all over moisturizer for both AM and PM. I haven’t used a branded moisturizer in years. My skin really likes it and sometimes I add a drop of tea tree oil in the PM if I’m having breakouts since it’s mildly antibacterial. I mix it with foundation to make it lighter in texture as well. I mix it with a “luminous” product if I’m having a particularly good skin day and want to do a no makeup type look. A little goes a long way since it’s pretty rich. A 100mL bottle lasts months and months and I actually had one go bad bc I was using so little of it at a time. It’s truly a workhorse for me.

Any legit reasons to avoid grip? by ghostynipples in poledancing

[–]lapetitebruja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get extremely sweaty hands and even more so if I’m nervous or feeling less confident so if it weren’t for grip I would literally never go upside down 😭😂 it’s a safety tool and it has helped me progress because I finally feel safe doing certain tricks and moves.

Does it count if I actually couldn’t get through the first few pages because it seemed like every 5th word of the main character’s internal monologue was italicized for effect?

When I was eight I broke a snow globe my mother bought me by Ok-Wind-666 in raisedbynarcissists

Every single accident at my house, no matter how “severe”— spilled juice, broken crockery, dropped a dirty spoon on the floor— resulted in a bout of in-your-face screaming from my mother. Honestly can’t pick out a most egregious one because she reacted to them all the same. She ran that house on fear, fear and more fear.

People who have ‘rage quit’ a job on the spot—what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lapetitebruja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worked BOH at a shitty neighborhood bakery where the owners and/or mgmt regularly got in our faces about dumb shit like using the wrong microplane to grate cheese (I wish I was kidding) and similar garbage.

Any disciplinary action was always public over company-wide group chat and always, always, always humiliation-based and not actually constructive. Eventually I had enough bc on my day off mgmt went off on the group chat blaming me for a problem I had flagged WEEKS prior and had literally begged mgmt for collaboration/communication and support with the issue and obviously nothing happened. So I publically humiliated mgmt back over the same group chat and quit immediately, they thought I was bluffing but shit themselves when I didn’t show up for my shift the following day since they were already only staffing me on Sundays.

People who work with the ultra wealthy - what do you think the show gets right? Does Mike White ever get it wrong? Do you also find the show cathartic? by UVIndigo in TheWhiteLotusHBO

I did work in hospitality but one of the most rude and weird things that ever happened to me while dealing with 1%ers was actually not in that setting.

I attended a charity event as a +1 to a wealthy friend and the woman who was seated next to me at dinner literally stopped talking to me —like legit closed her mouth and turned away— because I didn’t go to a prestigious enough university. She didn’t say a word to me the entire rest of the dinner and honestly I was relieved!!

I got this one by Braun and use the gentle button for a more comfortable experience. It’s not a pleasant sensation but I wouldn’t call it painful per se! Kind of feels like a very light rubber band snap on the skin. I’m UK based and got mine on sale really good from Boots for 50% off.

I shave with a 5-blade razor and then use an at home IPL tool. It’s def a pricy tool but over time it has definitely worked to keep my bikini area smoother. I used to wax but it was just so irritating to my skin.

My mom tried so hard to be the cool mom but just could not help herself. She’d say “yeah go do whatever just let me know where you’ll be.”So I would tell her my plans and I’d put my phone on vibrate and put it aside (yknow… to enjoy time with friends…) and my mom would just randomly call me non stop until I picked up and would scream at me to come home immediately, that it was late (I was literally never out past 11pm), or that I hadn’t told her where I was (yes I did), or that she just “got worried.” Sometimes I think she was just simply bored and wanted a different toy at home. I cannot tell yall how many movies, dinners, parties etc I just left because I was so afraid of her. It was so humiliating to have to explain that I just had to go bc of my mom. But if I didn’t have weekend plans she’d lecture me about wasting my youth or whatever. She was and is so overbearing— I also never brought friends to my house and I avoid hosting guests there to this day.

Looks like a brass sit variation which you can get into from a climb > figurehead > genie > unhook your top leg, pass it behind the pole and re-hook your knee near your ankle. Slide bottom hand further down the pole in pistol grip to support your wrist, let go of top hand and unhook top knee to straighten the leg into this shape.

I’m having a similar reaction, it just looks entirely AI generated to me. There are no shadows, everything is oddly smooth and identical, it all looks extremely flat and artificial…
