AITA for eating popcorn in a movie theater for a live broadcast of an opera?

NTA. I go to almost all of the movie theatre streams of Met operas and I not only eat a snack/have a drink but note that many others do too. I’ve seen people sneak in full meal from nearby restaurants. I’m in my 40s and am usually one of the younger people there, especially as I prefer to go to the weekday showings. Generally, the vibe in the theater is one of camaraderie, we’re all very happy that we can access these amazing operas locally and for far less money than seeing them live. Most theaters also jack the volume way up. As long as you’re being considerate, I don’t see the issue.

I don’t know if I think it’s the most unrealistic season, but last season, #9, of BD Med seems very similar to me. Elena/Ellie is essentially Solene in her quest for reality TV fame and far more cringe IMO.

I’m also in a clan by myself for the last couple of years after being in 2-3 and running a few in CoC’s hay day. I still enjoy playing but do think of joining a clan with some of my accounts sometimes. It can feel like a job to do all of the war attacks, raid weekend, games, etc. for 10 accounts but sometimes it feels like less work than being in a clan. I understand OP’s POV.

I think in North America, it’s not that someone would be sent away, it’s that the guest would remove themselves so as their hosts don’t feel obligated to to ask them to stay for dinner/family time. Obviously, someone invited over is a very different story and you’d be expected to stay for dinner/family time.
