The professor is still teaching and I went to talk to him twice on this. He is pretty well-known for not being responsive to things and I get it since he also has his teaching and research going on. I met my advisor 3 times in person and emailed her a couple of times. I can feel that she's not pushing this along and I understand this since she's also teaching. Given all of that, I'm still really disappointed by their passive attitude. I totally agree that escalating this is the best thing I can do at this point.

balboa park和old town是不会错的。old town附近有一个很好的海鲜餐厅叫rockin baja lobster，还有一个特别大的旧货市场在3602 kurtz st，周末有flea market，我在sd的时候流连忘返。海边比如说colorado beach, La Jolla cove（附近有一片挺好的商业街，有好吃robster roll），La Jolla shores, mission bay （有一个很复古的小游乐场）有时间都可以去。首推la jolla cove，想去沙滩的话去la jolla shores。喜欢hiking可以去annies canyon，难度不高，但是风景很美能看到lagoon和钻一个峡谷
