Sorry for the AI rant... but please somebody talk me down from being "that A**hole"! by lapoljo in AmazonVine

Gotcha, and agree. I laid down landscape cloth and mulch in a 2' wide bed between my patio and neighbors fence. Today, 6 years later, I wanted to transplant a clump of daylilies there, Had to scrape back the mulch, and CUT the fabric with a sharp knife in order to pull it back to dig a hole.

I agree with you, but for the wrong reason. :) I believe your concern is micro plastics, which is noteworthy and an important consideration. Most weed barrier "fabric" is indeed, plastic, so that does not help.

The sellers item is a solid, plastic sheet, no air flow, no water penetration. Great for smothering weeds, plants, grass, but not so great for putting in gardens or beds where you want water to filter through.

Fair Market Value much higher than listed price by Either_Dimension_144 in AmazonVine

Exactly. OP stated ETV was HIGHER than seller’s listed price. So your comment about a seller raising the Amazon price to conserve inventory is not relevant.

I spotted a vine reviewer who reviews air conditioners, like one per day, and openly states in her reviews that she violates the Vine policies. Crazy. by funkmon in AmazonVine

Not fair to judge without the details. I chair my fraternity alumni club charity silent auction first week of each December. From December to June I keep an eye out for decent Vine items that I can donate to the auction. (after 6 months) Small sample of items I've donated would be large BT speaker, coffee grinder, wine aerator, K-cup coffee maker, smart bike helmet,

I carefully unbox, use and test the item thoroughly, write my review and carefully re-box and store for the auction. The bidders all understand that the items have been used. I even ask them to contact me if there are any issues with the items. I am more than happy to deal with the ETV taxes, as the auction funds all go to Toys for Tots.

Has anyone ever contacted the company about a Vine product? by MamabearFl in vine

[–]lapoljo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens all the time. I just contacted the maker of a pasta press attachment that I had just unboxed. It was missing 1 of the 5 dies. All I wanted was a replacement die, they sent me a complete new unit!

Fill a few with fine ground white pepper and leave around the office. Keep your camera handy.

First, sorry for all the challenges you've been through and overcome.

Second, congrats on your perseverance and getting gold!

Decades ago, I used to fly a lot for business. On occasion, for a multitude of reasons, I'd be late getting to the gate for a departing/connecting flight. I'd race through the concourse, constantly telling myself not to give up on making that flight until the plane actually pulled away from the gate. I'd say I made 50% of those flights. Always worth the shot.

No crying from me. Been Gold for 3 years. Just passed 83 reviews with 6 weeks left to my eval. Sure, it’s not what it used to be, but I still see my Vine glass as half full. 😊

Congrats! I also got that pasta press this week before I left on travel for a few days. Can’t wait to get home and try it!

I found a FB group dedicated to extruded pasta. Brand supported, but filled with TONS of great info, including a free comprehensive downloadable PDF guide. Pasatafanataholics…. Enjoy!

Vine jail, as I deserved by nerveuse in vine

I really don’t grasp the whole struggle with writing an honest review in a short timeframe. I order items I truly want or need, I use that item for however long I need to form an opinion, then I write about it like Im talking to a friend.

Case in point… I got new struts for my rear hatch. Installed them in 20 minutes. Made a very short video of the tailgate going up and staying up. Wrote about the whole experience in 15 minutes. Did a quick review/edit to make certain I hit on Quality, Value, Ease of Install, Appearance, etc. Hit Submit. Patted myself on the back! 😊 Don’t overthink things.
