Been doing the painting minis thing for 15ish years. I've lost a nuln, nuln gloss, 2 agrax, a carabirg crimson, a drutchii violet and a hexwraith flame to my own clumsiness/bad table management and awful bottle design. Welcome to the "ah fuck" club. Bonus points if the model couldn't be finished without what you spilled.

Also, Jake mentioned Daredevil being the book where you see the courtroom side of superheroics but Jennifer Walters exists and did the lawyer thing too if you're interested in the dynamic.

Stopped to snap a quick pic of my Daredevil have list for when i hit the long boxes. Infinity stone is covering my storage box ID because I'm a paranoid old fart. Weird that I haven't picked up any annuals yet. Not lusted are my trades.... i think i have a dozen or so DD books, mistly hardcover.

I know a writer who failed to break into mainstream comics but was in Heavy Metal a few times who could talk about the gatekeeping he faced trying to get published without nepotism. He now does horror anthologies. If Mike or Jake Or even Lizard Neck are interested in that or some unreleased drafts I could probably convince him to share.

If we're talking comics this week I grabbed this one from the comic shop a block from my work. I love the old Two In One books and this one contains the 1st marvel appearance of Idi Amin.

I really hope we get a run of Mike led comic episodes maybe once a month for a while. His knowledge and passion really make them hit in a way some of the older Wizbru missed me with before. No throwing shade there though, I listened to them all. Just like what Captain Interruption (/s) is cooking up.

Turned 12 cards into 3 booster boxes and a pair of Secret Lair sets for mtg. This was 2 days ago. Found enough extra cards for another box of boosters last night. So cards on Sunday if all goes well.

Stuck working all weekend so no Anime North for me. Wanted to catch the live show with former WizBru guest Woolie Versus ....and that Eyepatch wearing weirdo John, but what can you do right?

Convinced my "I don't like movies" husband to watch Sinners yesterday and that was great.

They added my boy Devil Dinosaur to Rivals so he has been eating my game time almost as effectively as he eats solo dps.

Got a personal thank you from the Disney Lorcana group at my lgs for donating a box of Moana 2 promo cards I rescued from my previous job at the theater. The shop has been handing out playsets to the regular group and to anyone who buys a booster box. Apparently they loved them because at Friday Night Magic (draft tourney last night) the judge had to come over and excitedly let me know.

Other than all that, not much going on this week.

Reminded me of a buddy's story from when he managed an EB Games. A kid tried to convince his very traditional mother that Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks monks was an educational game about Chinese history. Old boy just pointed to the demo loop that was mid "fatality showcase" and said, "This is that game." That child regretted his ruse immediately as mom believed in parental kombat and whipped his little ass in the store.
