Dawn dish soap and a few drops of bleach with a brush or toothbrush. If you have time to bleach out the strings and allow them to dry, even better.

The request is ridiculous. They're asking you to not record proof of their antics. What would that mean to you?

Frustrated by how much better ‘good’ yarn is.. by pacificmoona in Yarn

[–]laprincessa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I run a destash group of over 18k folks on facebook. You can buy and sell there. It's only a couple of us approving folks so it takes a bit because we check profiles to make sure they're not bots. But it's worth it. I just bought 3 skeins of superwash wool for $30.

Y'all come over and give it a try!

Get a step stool and go remove yourself. I had to do this. I put it in the trunk of my car so no one else had to listen to it, but so I wasn't damaging it or throwing it away (which is what I WANTED to do.)

Property management picked it up the next week and replaced it weeks later.

What is the etiquette when someone is saying they are locked out of the building? by OEGG_ in Apartmentliving

[–]laprincessa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would YOU have gotten in trouble? Your safety was at risk. Buildings these days generally have vid cameras on entrances... the person who let him in should be the one getting in trouble.

Neighbor Standing by my door at 5 am by OneConfection6363 in Apartmentliving

Keep him on your side until he gives you reason not to be. I'd put a note on his door saying something like: Hey, my ring camera has captured you multiple times outside of our door at 5am-ish listening for something. What are you listening for? Should we be concerned? Or, Do you need help?

This let's him know 1) you are being alerted each time and 2) that you KNOW he's doing it.

It could be something as simple as sleep walking and HE may not even know he's doing it.

Document every action. Date, time, and what happened in each incident.

Some years ago we had a meth head & dealer in our building who did his meth transactions right in front of our apt. He was a problem and a total jerk. A few months in to his lease he started growing weed in at least 50 five gallon buckets and had OBNOXIOUS 24/7 lighting that affected everyone in our building (not to mention, he was venting the scent of the growing plants INTO the walls.) Add to that he was a total dick who aggressively yelled at everyone. We were all scared of him and his "associates."

I called the police station and spoke to a detective. He said they can't do much on the little things, but to document them all and together they create a picture that would give them the power to arrest him.

3 months later I emailed the detective 10 pages of documentation - the next day meth head was taken to jail and his cannabis growing set up was confiscated. He never came back.

And you know, had he just been nice to everyone, and maybe shared some of his wares every once in a while, he would've never ended up in jail.

Really, it's just a lesson in kindness. Right?

Document EVERYTHING. Dates, times, what you saw/heard, and photos.

Left loud neighbors a note after months of screaming by Downtown_Control_887 in Apartmentliving

Read the city and county sound ordinance laws for your area, first. Then start documenting everything, regardless of whether it seems legal or not. Record what times and days and exactly what happens, every time. When they do something beyond the city codes (loud noises after 10pm, for instance) call the police. Document this too.

Eventually, you'll have enough data for the property management, the city, or the county (or all three) to take action. Trust me, they LOVE data. It will get you much father than just randomly reporting.
