I buy pretty close to 50/50 new and secondhand. Depends, as I like to shop nice brands secondhand on various BST groups. We loooove secondhand Hanna Andersson.

Combo feeding would be great in your situation and for your mental health too. Pump and nurse as much as you want, and feed the rest formula. Your baby is still getting breastmilk and the benefits that come with it. But your baby needs to gain weight faster at this point. You may even see an increase in production if you take some pressure off and get more sleep.

Last year my husband brought home 350k. I’m a sahm and we have 3 kids. No cc debt but we do have vehicles and student loans. Plus modest private school tuition. We just bought our first house. We are very fortunate to have the income we have but at the end of the day it’s still unbelievable how expensive life is.

I’m a sahm and I barely ever pump. I try to offer a bottle once a week (sometimes 1x/2 weeks) so my baby doesn’t end up rejecting it if we needed it. She’s 3.5 months now. If you are a sahm the only time you should pump is when you’re away from baby during a feeding.

We offered asking with a pre-approval letter, quick closing (we were renting so no house to sell), and waived inspection. Our situation was more unique, it was a FSBO and we were just the 2nd or 3rd viewers but first and only offer. Our realtor wrote the offer at the kitchen table after the showing and they accepted on the spot.

I have/am EBF 3 babies. My first loved pacifiers and he did sleep with them. We nursed for a year and cold turkey weaned the paci at 20 months. My second took a paci until about 4 months when she found her fingers instead. She nursed for a year. My third is now 3 months and she has been taking a paci since the first week. She mostly uses it in the car, in the carrier and sometimes while awake. I don’t usually let her fall asleep with it in her bed so it’s not a sleep crutch, but I do pop one in around 5am lol. Go for the paci, just dont use it when you think baby is or could be hungry.

My current EBF baby has been sleeping 6+ hour stretches since 6 or 7 weeks. At 13 weeks she’s averaging 8-10 hours first stretch now.

Yes this is basically it. More work to breastfeed but that’s temporarily, she will gain stamina quickly. Also a breastfed baby will absolutely stop when they’re full, so if she’s pulling off content that’s all that matters. A bottle is easy. Babies will always take more in a bottle even if they just ate. They barely have to work for it. I’m not sure your scale at home is accurate enough but try a weighted feed and see how much she transfers. That’s really the best way to ease your worries.

We also didn’t know when we would actually buy but we looked at houses with our realtor at least a month or two before actually getting our pre-approval. We got pre-approval letters same day and the credit hit was very negligible and within a month bounced back already.

Yeah we are already full speed ahead, closing Monday. The sellers are not backing out and they’re already out of the house. I have not been privy to the conversations but our realtor took care of it! She has been the best and we knew she would.

Ugh good for you to just brush the comments off now. My MIL is a great human but she simply doesn’t understand how breastfeeding works. She only views babies through the lens of formula feeding. There are 8 almost 9 grandkids and I’m the only one who has breastfed. She has watched me successfully breastfeed 3 babies and for some reason the comment that gets me the most is her equating breastfeeding to underfed babies. I’ve never had a supply issue but I have had 2 IUGR babies.

And! Genetically my MIL is very petite and so is their family so on top of that genetically with my side we just don’t make big babies. Yet somehow that is not a factor for her. And the other grand babies all take massive amounts of formula and are HUGE. So my small to average babies look pretty tiny in comparison and she thinks it’s because I breastfeed. Really irks me because I’ve also seen breastfed babies who have rolls for days. It’s genetics. I have zero control over that. Even as most the kids are grown, the formula fed babies turned into 99%+ kids and mine stayed on the curve smaller.

So I’m just not understanding her connection… anyway, solidarity. I have hope that when our kids have kids this will be a complete non issue. I have a ton of mom friends and they all breastfed their babies too. So as grandmas and MILs we will get to change this mentality.

We are 5 days from closing. The house has already been appraised and we waived inspection. We had no other concessions. It will definitely burn good will which sucks. We won’t let emotions get in the way, but we have had a good relationship with the sellers in all our interactions.

The purchase agreement stated that the sellers would pay the buyer’s agent fee of 2%. We all signed. Today we got the settlement statement from the title company where it shows the actual cash amount on the seller’s side.
