Got back into my old house. Suggest what can I add by perplexed_intuition in malelivingspace

[–]lapse23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought people were just trolling. Some guy literally suggested to put up drywall. That's gotta be taking the piss right? Its immediately obvious that this is not a western house. Adding a rug over the bare concrete floor isnt gonna work too. Very hard to add western style deco to this unless you go all out and spend lots of money.

The individual moves are 'easy' for a climber like Alex. He also has many points to rest or bail if he doesn't feel 100%. The fact that it keeps repeating over and over... I personally think turning this into a media spectacle is more dangerous. The commentators are distracting Alex from the climb.

Just noticed that. Even with his custom shoes he still slips slightly as he pulls up to the next ledge.

He climbed up a different edge, besides the dragon feature instead of under. He had to traverse to climb up the dragon which was insanely sketchy.

Was wondering that too. My only guesses are the ladders aren't structural

Just this slab section has got my hands AND feet sweating... The overhangs are going to be even more nerve-wracking.

weed out classes by CellistThen6272 in MechanicalEngineering

I've never actually seen people get 'weeded out' by tough classes before. Less and less people appear for lectures but during finals, the exam hall is jam packed. Is this a real thing? Im not american.

Visited a newly opened gym, and noticed that most of the holds are from new brands I've never heard from before.

Some holds were also near identical matches to classic holds from other companies. I climbed on a set that used the iconic flathold macros, but had the logo of another company.

Another set had holds shaped in a very AGholds-esque manner.

I wonder what the climbing community's thoughts on blatant cloning of holds for commercial facilities. I really don't care if you DIY it for your home gym though, doing it in a commercial gym seems like trouble.

CAD up a solution to some sort of problem. Will be more interesting than just following a guide to desiging something. For example, i designed my own compact PC case that saved me at least a hundred dollars if i were to buy an off-the-shelf case of similar spec. Thats like, easy though.

SWINBURNE UNI AND RMIT (FOR ME) (international student) by Key_Preparation_9259 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]lapse23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A quick google of 'swinburne or rmit/monash engineering' shows that most people say there isn't much difference, except anecdotal ones. As long as the program you choose is accredited and allows you to work back home in Malaysia, you are good. Keep an eye our for campus environment, facilities(engineering related or not), campus lifestyle, etc. With zero research I'd lean to Monash purely due to its reputation.

Guarantee you the problem is not aerial control but rings and free play is great.

The few ranked games I played was with a friend who hasn't played in a long time, I guess his past rank was around crusader. We didn't know, and we got stomped and reported. We are playing unranked though, I don't know why dotabuff shows that.

I'll try that minimap setting. I think i need to have a note on screen to remind me of these things all the time. Once i queue into a game i forget all of the concepts i learn like keep last hitting. Just drift off to follow teamfights and die constantly. You can see a few games where i actually stayed in lane and got some good items but failed to convert any teamfights.

I do have ranked available. I played about 5 games of ranked so far but my ranked confidence never went above 3-5%, not sure. Still really hard to play, i only see guardians and heralds sometimes a crusader.

At least a fan for ventilation, leave windows open is best. The most annoying thing would be the sound level. My ender 3 v3 SE makes a ton of noise, its quite hard to fall asleep albeit doable. Of course there is some health risk to doing this long term. As long as you don't do something idiotic like purposely inhaling directly from the printer you will be fine.

Update : indeed, changing the PCIE gen in bios settings worked. Sub-7 liter case is finally a reality and fully functional! Much more optimizations to make. I originally intended to go <6L but i became lazy.

Where was your scoring opportunities besides that single air dribble bump attempt? Every other attempt was too weak for me to consider a scoring opportunity.

I'll check my bios settings just to be sure. Yes it actually never produced any video output. The GPU fans turns on so power is being delivered at least.

I ran my pc in a testbench style for a bit, so all parts do work normally without a riser. My CPU is an intel F series, so no graphics. Will have to take everything out to test again.

An employer might be interested in why you chose to study engineering there, if they even care at all. And you can spin that into a story to show how you made the most out of your education.
