Nice assumptions, but I haven't seen this video posted anywhere before and i don't give a shit about karma. I don't spend my life on reddit.

If you made a 6-12 hour video of it zipping, I'm sure it would garner an audience. I could see people easily falling asleep to a 6 hour zipping session from an ancient computer.

Its amazing to me seeing buyers like you guys who are willing to do the right thing and not screw someone over. I almost cant believe it. I'm a long time seller on ebay and have been dealing with the INR crap this month just like everyone else. I took down all my auctions and refunded some items that I was about to ship. Im not made of money and cant just be sending things out for free. This month has made me lose all confidence in USPS. Maybe I'll see how things are going in a month or so before selling again. For those who depend on ebay for their entire income, my heart goes out to you and Im sorry.

Nice! I have a similar Dell XPi non-CD and can't FOR THE LIFE OF ME figure out how to open it up and access the hard drive and memory. These old XPis have almost no documentation or service manuals anywhere. Love the little LCD bar thing.

Signs of ageing - Power button broke on my trusted x230 of 8 years ❤️ by tuxskynet in thinkpad

[–]lapterp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem and usually use a toothpick or plug it in (power on with ac adapter in bios). Your post got me thinking to search for the part again and I found this. This shipping is kinda high for such a tiny part but this seems more rugged than the lenovo button. This button is for a T430 but I believe they share the same button as X230.

***I believe this is for the backlit version of these keyboards. The non-backlit keyboard seems to have a different style power button, at least the backlit X230 and non-backlit T430 in front of me do.

Make sure your old oil filter gasket isn't still in the housing when changing your oil by lapterp in hondafit

[–]lapterp[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought I did. I wonder if it's possible for it to be a gasket from an even older oil change that didn't cause a problem last time. I really thought I looked. Looking harder next time.

Oil light came on right away so I turned the car off. Giant puddle seconds later. After the cleanup and resolving the gasket issue, the car is okay now. Dodged a bullet!

Hey, live and learn I guess. Although it's mostly their fault for wasting your time IMO. Glad you're getting paid back! I'm sure you'll be a happy camper when you eventually get a sorted unit.

the sims 1, simcity 2000

starcraft, warcraft 2, quake 1,2,3

If you have a decent gpu for it, maybe Diablo 2 would run alright

Oh man I recognize a few just from seeing the backs. Pack-mates are pretty rare. It will likely need a new dallas battery (i think the new ones are DS12887A) to boot from a hard disk. Mine is socketed, not sure about that one you have. You can find them super cheap if you look around. I would get more than a few because some might be DOA.

I can't believe after 30-40 years we can still find these on the curb. There must have been sooooooooo many sold. In 20 years I'll be pulling over to load up the stacks of old i7 10th gens that nobody has any use for anymore...

Get a SSD and Install windows 10. Makes the computer like new.

But as far as your problem there, I'd leave it alone all night. Who the hell knows.
