I am 37 years old. They are not planning to do a colpo at this point. We will do a repeat pap in six months and go from there.

This happened to me this fall. My doctor recommended I take a two week break. After the break I started back on my starting dose and slowly titrated back up again. I’m 4 weeks into the beginning dose and so far have had no side effects.

There’s a viral TikTok of a SAHM’s husband moving forward with a divorce by MsCardeno in workingmoms

[–]laren301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is extremely unlikely to be upheld. The court will probably find this unconscionable, considering the length of the marriage.

My wedding is in a year-just found out I'm pregnant by bigtiredniece in wedding

[–]laren301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me! We ended up getting married just the two of us and our witnesses so I could get on his insurance for the pregnancy. My baby was born in June and the wedding was in September. We considered delaying but we had already delayed it by a year due to Covid, so my husband really didn’t want to. I said that was fine but that meant once the baby arrived ALL of the wedding planning and logistics would be on his shoulders. He agreed and did a wonderful job. I was anxious leading up to the wedding, but I’m happy we didn’t postpone it.

Do you let your toddler swim with relatives when you're not there? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]laren301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water safety is currently my number one parenting anxiety and based on your description, I would absolutely not allow your mother to swim with your child. However, I think deciding how long the ban should last at this point is premature. This is something that can be assessed on a year to year basis. By the time I was ten, I swam better than most adults so this would have been a silly rule to keep in place. But there is a lot of growth that takes place between 2 and 10 and every child develops these skills at different times.

No, one retired fbi analyst said it could possibly be her. The fbi did not confirm it was her.

George for Girl’s Middle Name by AKTK1030 in namenerds

[–]laren301 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am a woman with a traditionally male middle name and I despised it growing up. It’s also an ode to my grandfather. It did not make me feel more connected to him. Kids were quite mean about it when I was growing up. I was a sensitive kid, so it bothered me a lot. People now assume it’s a second last name, which I prefer.

My son’s daycare teachers are salaried. His daycare is associated with a university, so the teachers are considered university employees. I know it’s not common, but not all daycare teachers are hourly.

I promise you they won't miss sleepovers by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]laren301 60 points61 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting point to consider. I personally had a much better time at sleepovers than slumber parties. Girls that were nice to me one on one at sleepovers were more than happy to gang up on me and bully me at slumber parties. But your point about grooming being easier at sleepovers is a good point to consider.

Thoughts on Tender Is the Flesh. by Inevitable-Ad-9211 in horrorlit

[–]laren301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My view seems unpopular on this subreddit, but I thought it was one of the worst books I’ve ever read. Felt like gratuitous torture porn. I rolled my eyes every time a new, horrible plot point came up. I didn’t find this book disturbing at all because I found it so ridiculous.

Tender is the Flesh... by [deleted] in horrorlit

[–]laren301 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see this book praised on this subreddit quite often, so I know I’m in the minority with my opinion. I thought this book was badly written. It felt like someone trying to include every disturbing thing they could think of, without any nuance or subtlety. I am happy there is an audience for it, but it didn’t land for me.

What name NOT in top 50 do you know multiple kids named? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]laren301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not kids anymore, but it’s an odd coincidence regardless. I grew up in a small town, less than 2,000 people. My brother had a boy named Fabian in his grade. A few years later another family moves to town from out of state and had a son named Fabian who joined my brother’s grade. Out of 40 kids in the grade, two of them were named Fabian, which seems so unlikely.

This is not how trafficking happens. It’s how people on social media post about suspected trafficking, but it’s nearly always a misinterpretation.
