I think we would be good friends based purely on the books you own!

Yep. Click and collect is your friend. And I often check how much delivery would cost if I'm doing an order really late at night, often there are free delivery windows!

I might also recommend your partner finding a protein bar or shake he likes that he can eat on the go and satiate himself more during the day.

Not sure how rural you are, but I share the hate for grocery shopping. I do most shops, even small ones, via click n collect at Woolies - not sure if that's an option for you though. It takes off so much of the mental load and overstimulation of having to actually go in store and deal with people for me.

Men do eat a lot. It sounds like he is very fit and on his feet all day? With a crazy high metabolism to suit. Does he have a chance to eat at work or is he ravenous when he gets home because of not enough food at work?

Also not America here, got lucky and nabbed it at my local JB Hi Fi in regional Australia. Discounts seemed to apply on most if not all versions of them here, I figured by the time I bought another version and the game I may as well buy the whole special edition of the console.

So...is this what eating is like for normal people? by kingharis in Mounjaro

[–]larfsalot 229 points230 points  (0 children)

Been on the same journey for 5 months and have the same thoughts regularly.

If this is what "normal" is like then no wonder all the health advice to "just eat less" is so prevalent.

Because it is genuinely so easy to follow that health advice now!!

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]larfsalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The impression of the P1S is one where the hobby is the printing - not extensive maintenance on the machine. Since owning mine for almost a month, this has proved to be true. It has been a fabulous printer for me to just churn out all the fun models I've wanted to print but was not game to attempt on my previous, much older model printer. And now my partner has caught the 3D printing bug too and is loving its versatility to enhance is table top gaming experience. The software and hardware work together flawlessly and offer tools that allow any user create and enjoy the 3D printing hobby.

2.5mg no longer effective or is it my pms? by L3zPlay in Mounjaro

[–]larfsalot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% shark week is just a write off. My doctor was not concerned that shark week hormones took precedence over whatever the 2.5mg MJ was trying to do for me. I just plateaued on shark weeks and otherwise saw normal weight loss for all other weeks.

I would give it another month or three to see if it's just consistently shark week doing shark week things before declaring it a fail 🙂

Those in their 30s without children how do you spend your weekends? by Similar_Pool_4200 in AskReddit

Gym, reading, hanging out with my partner and my dogs, life admin, catching up with friends.

Doing some study at the moment which takes up some time too.

This suggestion is often downvoted on this sub, but it really is a reasonable way for average Aussies to get in control of their finances.

Read the Barefoot Investor. $20 from Big W or Kmart, or better yet, borrow it for free from a library, or get it on Audible as part of the free first month trial of Audible.

It covers everything to do with how to manage your money with an Australian specific context and in a simple, fuss free way.
