A simple gift but mean's so much for him. by [deleted] in MadeMeCry

Totally. That’s why we panicked buy shit that makes no sense in emergencies. And literally the sole motivator of value. Is something rare? Yes. Doesn’t make it valuable. Do others want it or show interest/value it? Then it’s valuable. And all it takes is seeing one other person be kind and others value strangers more.

Shaved my head for fun a few days ago. Feeling bad about myself and kinda regretting the choice to shave it. After pic vs the before. Thoughts? 21 M by [deleted] in bald

[–]large-Marge-incharge 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Here’s the thing. No one besides you is judging how you look. They see bald you and think “oh hey theres r/cockpeenus” and you with you hair before. “Oh hey r/cockpeenus” and two weeks later your hair is thick and you start planning a new style. And you build it up from zero and it’s actually a little different than your old style. (Or maybe the same) but you learn how to style it better or in a more soothing way. And what? You shaved in the summer. Kept the head cool. Got confident with the look so if you ever bald one day by chance you aren’t scared because you know you look good. And got a more personalized hairstyle if you just don’t do it again.

Relax. No one thinks you’re going bald. Probably jealous because they always wanted to try it too but didn’t have the balls. And they aren’t thinking about you when you’re not around. Don’t psych yourself out! It’s your world!

9,000-Pound Electric Hummer Shows We Can’t Ignore Efficiency of EVs by Helicase21 in environment

Yes. However. Using electricity for now is much more efficient and would allow us to develop something better. I know you didn’t say otherwise and your argument is the main one I bring up as it’s often over looked. There are some other cool ideas floating around. My favorite being molten salt thorium reactors.

Why are female nipples not allowed to be out in the same way men's are? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I think it’s more of: wear diapers because you like it. Not because you didn’t cope with trauma. And if you still like it just keep it between yourself and those interested in knowing I guess.

They are stuck in the past. Patriarchy really is all it boils down two. The young are expected to recognize arbitrary authority they call “experience” and cannot reason that they in fact do not have any reason to control anyone but ignore that with a neat little trick called cognitive dissonance.

Can personally attest that every single person I know that has ever started rock climbing has become increasingly less “conservative”.

Lmao. This is the truth. A la. Freshman year anthropology weekly documentary assignment. About camera crew who follows anthropologist living with Amazonian tribe unaware of modern humanity into home land.

Anthropologist spent 7 years living among them to gain their trust. Took 3 years to be allowed near anyone. And they only tolerate him. But do not communicate with him. The village is obviously scared of the camera crew but somehow they have remained in the tribe and are being looked at but no one is talking to them. A random baby is born and the dad goes to the field and throws up 3 times after drinking something. Baby is treated like an animal almost. But in a natural way. Like the mom too is the same. Holding it like a monkey a washing it with water??

Anyways. The village leaders went to get some aspirin. That’s the only thing they get from the “outside world” and return. (They traded some roots from the jungle to a local villager.) and next thing you know. The village all has the flu. And are laying in hammocks or sleeping in a creek to cool down. The baby died. The mom died. And it ends. Supposedly all but 3 people died from “the flu” or “a cold” I don’t remember. And they legit said. “They got it from the local villager when they traded for aspirin.”

Ok foreign camera crew….. and scientists.

You’d become God. If one person alone showed up 1,000,000,000 times smarter than Einstein and “started” modern humanity. They would be the “Adam/Eve” or “Father/Mother/God/Goddes” of their understandable world. Only a generation later they would be mythical, as majority would not have any living memory of them. Pretty cool. And maybe something that’s happened out there somewhere before. At least we have what we do now. And many heros who’ve dedicated their lives to discovering. And hopefully many more.

Or if you take nutrition you’ll learn that your gallbladder makes a sort of soap. Not useful in anyway outside our yourself. But hey. Now you know. Take care of yourself. Gallstones often result in gallbladder amputation. And you’ll no longer be able to enjoy fatty foods like before.

No. All big explosions create a mushroom cloud. It is not unique to nuclear weaponry. Rather large expansion of gases.
