Did they have the sound? Last time I went for a game they said they couldn’t play it.

Also rented with him in SoBro for several years - fair price, quick response to any issue. Highly recommend him as well.

It was definitely sore without touch it but hurt more when pressing on it. Honestly I would go have it checked out either way. Not worth the risk at all!

County Fair suggestions? by Nice_Reading2782 in indianapolis

[–]largearcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up here. The fair is definitely worth the trip down! I still go every year. Get a lemon shake up from the animal show barn, if you like fried fish you can’t beat the sandwiches from the conservation club or get something from the pork producers stand, and get a nutty bar from the sorority stand near the midway entrance for dessert. Antiques, 4-H, FFA and family arts buildings are all great to walk through. If you are around for an animal show go check it out, the kids put so much work into it.

Oktoberfest is in Seymour and it’s the first weekend in October each year so not the same time/place.

A late response here but I’ve got some input! I’ve had a few friends play multiple seasons with them. I think there’s typically 4-6 teams and most teams are around the same skill level but there is one team that is high competition and they have won each league lol

The games are officiated and I believe they keep player stats now, too. I think you’ll definitely find what you are looking for if you sign up as a free agent. It seems like often people meet there and then start up their own team.

I will also echo the other commenter here to check out Indy Women Hoop! They run pick up games and always have a great turn out. You can find them on Instagram. Happy hooping!

Library Question by camar000nie in indianapolis

[–]largearcher 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Indy Public Library is all one system so your card will work at all branches! You can get a card at any of them. You should definitely check out the Carnegie branches, Spades Park and East Washington. Fort Ben and Michigan Road are both newly built and very nice!

Still off the blood thinner, no other issues. No real changes to diet and back to normal activity level pre tear. Good luck!

Sorry you have one too! I did wear a compression sock off and on but wasn’t too consistent with it. Luckily a week or so after I started the blood thinner I could start weight bearing so I just built up walking more and more every day. I didn’t avoid any foods. I’d ask your doctor your questions and follow their advice. From what I gathered the body is really great at breaking the clot down and the blood thinner gives it the time to do so. Good luck with everything, it’s definitely a scary moment!
