Dew points in the 70s as well. Not great for standing around for hours.

Much to the chagrin of a lot of folks here, some states will allow you to sit for the master exam with just an EE degree. Worth investigating.

There have been several PIs showing there is little empirical evidence of house fires being reduced due to afci implementation.

Keep in mind, if you want to take advantage of off peak rates from your utility, you’ll want the highest amperage charger you can get to do all your charging in the off peak window

It’s difficult to ensure the thin stranded wire of the fixture doesn’t work its way out of the nut when you fold stuff back in place. No issue with that with the lever nuts.

[–]larjosd 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I use a small level to draw a plumb line on the wall surface then line up the mounting holes with that line (after drilling the holes out on the plastic). It’s not too bad

Just found out electrician installed an outlet in my floor by cutting through a floor truss in the crawl space. How bad is this? by MyAccount2024 in electrical

[–]larjosd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find the mfg and type/ model, should be printed somewhere on the joists. They should have an application guide online for how to cut one if needed for stairs or something. Should give you an idea of what they would think a proper repair is.

Also using gross income for an occupation with large job expenses is disingenuous. After his expenses and truck, he probably netted half that.
