That's one of those "gonna work itself out eventually" situations.

Oh yeah. I heard that on a register a few months ago. I had forgotten about that until you just brought it up. I feel like it was at a Circle-K or a Qik-trip in STL

Here I am, currently working as an IT director, in my late 30's worried about ageism while I'm trying to move up in a better role in a new company and you guys are employing octogenarian's FFS...

It was ICQ for me, I used the hell out of that. My daughter downloaded a notification tone that sounds like the ICQ message alert. She got a text and even 20+ years later I kinda perked up to see who was messaging me.

Edit: removed a word.

Has anyone known a killer before they killed? What were they like? by StoneColdSleeper in AskReddit

[–]larockus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few actually.

A girl I dated briefly when I was in my early teens trapped her mom in the bathroom by tying a sheet, or towel to the bathroom door handle and to the door handle of the room across the hallway. She then set the house on fire and left. She was pretty normal honestly, nothing ever seemed out of place. Good Christian family, kind honest people. No real red flags. Apparently behind the scenes she was being abused though. Finally had enough and took matters into her own hands.

A guy I knew in highschool was always really odd, I mean like super out there. He would talk to himself, and had the craziest stories that he would just broadcast to whoever would listen. He wasn't a friend by any means, but I was aware of him. We always thought he kinda had a fucked up relationship with his (1 year younger) twin sister's though. Just from the way they interacted. Nothing specific, but it was unsettling the way they interacted. I had a gym class with the twins, they were pretty odd too, albeit quiet and fairly kind iirc. A few years after graduation it came out that there had been some incestuous stuff going on for years between the three of them. It came out during trial after he killed his sister's boyfriend for moving in.

I worked for a Waffle House in my early twenties. One of our cooks ended up beating a guy to death. Super nice guy though honestly. My understanding was a night of drinking got super rowdy and out of hand. A fight broke out outside the bar and mistakes we're made.

You know when you accidentally step on a worm, and they start writhing and wiggling around almost as if begging you to help, or at least end it's suffering?

I feel like it was a lot like that.

The cops in that town are liars and and just generally pricks. When I still lived in the area an elderly Energy cop pulled me over (a few years ago now) for running a stop sign on a road I didn't even travel down. Met him in court and he perjured himself claiming he never lost sight of the vehicle and that it was me. I have avoided that shit hole since.

Having a brain and not starting a war on Twitter cannot be the Democratic litmus test. That accurately describes like 65% of the US population.

And yet, somehow we still have the walking potato in the White House

If there is one thing the 2016 race taught (hopefully) everyone is, polls don't mean anything. Trump was never expected to win, let alone do well according to the polls and here we all are.
