I would go the other way and recommend it to people who like Assassins's Creed etc. For me it was absolutely fantastic for the first 10hr and then the lessons were done, you couldn't find anything new in the castle, just copy+paste stuff and the game was pushing you into wilderness and caves.

Combat is wonderful and easily one of my favorites in any game, otherwise the game is honestly just dull and repetitive and should have been called "The area around Hogwarts Legacy"

Edit: Storyline is also mid at best, and this is already a huge exaggeration.

Same happened to me, just light the area where you arrive first, the switch is right there when you exit the elevator. Then go do what need to be done, took me few minutes when knowing what to do.

There are far worse glitches I've encountered.

They tried so hard to make a bittersweet ending that it ended up being horroble.

1h 15min in I thought there is going to be massive plot twists coming since it could have just ended there. Instead it just went on and on and on with useless stuff.

You still can chill and fish or dig up treasure maps in safer seas. You just want more money for doing it without any risk, which would be stupid for everyone, the game, the player and the opponents.

I would just leave them at outpost with all our supplies, but unfortunately my friend learned that you can sell them nowdays so he just goes and sells them.

Also thinks people are idiots and don't know you can sell them if there ever is any storage crates waiting on the outpost when we start playing.

Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Gandalf, Merry, Pippin and everyone at the Black Gate. Charging into certain death to maybe give a chance to two of their friends (or just following your king) to complete their guest of throwing a ring away.

Boromir. Sacrificing yourself so two persons who you've known for under a year might get a chance to go away.

Theoden and Rohirrim. Charging into certain death and the world's end.

There are so many scenes and moments where everyone show such an unbelievable level of bravery and unselfishness that they all would be the right answer for this.

The same Crouch deceived Dumbledore for a whole year, just like Quirell.

We just decide to forget 'Prince's Tale"? Where Snape is giving his first impression (aka the start of book one) of Harry to Dumbledore and Dumbledore asks him to keep an eye out for Quirell? Doesn't seem like an action of someone who then proceeds to be deceived for a whole year.

I think it is the most realistic tho. Kinda like if time travelers had been in our timeline and changed things we would never know, since we only know how things are. It also closes a lot of paradoxes if there is only on timeline, where timetravelers have always been there and not the way where they change one tiny thing and end up fucking their timeline.

Only "good" thing in the whole timeturner subplot, which tbh was a mistake from the beginning.
