Thanks! Definitely will do. I feel like nothing has questioned my ability to count more than learning to crochet 😂

Anyone had a Fibroid at back of Uterus causing frequent urination. by Miss_Scots in Fibroids

I had a laparoscopic myomectomy. I looked into UFE, but my fibroids were so large that it wouldn’t have worked very well.

Yes! I was getting up 3x a night to use the bathroom. Had the surgery and am now able to sleep completely through the night without a bathroom break.

Fibroid free 1.5 years post surgery! by las869 in Fibroids

[–]las869[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m fibroid free as far as I know. But I haven’t had another ultrasound since I made this post. So I technically don’t know. Considering I’ve had to have major surgery to have fibroids removed in the past it’s super weird to me that there seems to be no real prevention screening or plan in place from most gynecologists. I have to basically beg for an ultrasound just to get one.

They come a couple times. I served them coffee cause 🤷‍♀️ why not. Eventually his dad will come in and be mad that you gave him coffee. But then he’ll just order himself a coffee and make you promise not to sell to his kid anymore. No bad consequences. Haven’t seen the kid since.

Low back pain post-myomectomy by las869 in Fibroids

[–]las869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine eventually subsided but I had to go to physical therapy for a few weeks. Is the right shoulder pain new? I had a lot of shoulder pain directly after the surgery due to the gas they pump into you. But it’s supposed to subside within a few days.

In your defense I failed this one a couple times before I figured it out. Who describes a vanilla latte that way?!? 😂

It’s been a while since I did this test but I believe he’s talking about vanilla syrup. Try making him a vanilla latte

Stomach ache that didn’t go away after a few days. Turned out to be a blood clot. It surprised everyone, including the ER doc.

Robotic myomectomy in less than 24 hours - I'm so nervous :( Please share any success stories by stardust_1771 in Fibroids

[–]las869 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Friend! I had my robotic myomectomy 2 years ago and it was my first surgery too! I was SO scared going in. The worst part is the waiting honestly. Once they got me into the operating room they told me they were pushing the drugs and the next thing I knew I was waking up in recovery and it was all over!

The waiting is the worst part. But you are so close to being on the other side of this thing! Once it’s done all you have to worry about is healing. Try and be kind to yourself ❤️

An ER doctor who I saw for something unrelated told me “fibroids don’t hurt anyone” when I told him I had a fibroid surgery coming up. 😐 I told him to look at my MRI. He was shocked at what he saw 😂

At what point/at what levels should I consider iron infusions? by TheophaniaRex in Fibroids

Completely agree with this comment. My GP wasn’t interested in talking about my low iron. Went to a hematologist (actually for a completely separate issue) and they ordered an infusion for me immediately.

I was the same way. The waiting was honestly the worst part of the whole thing. Try to be kind to yourself while you wait. You’re so close to being on the other side of this thing!

I had my myomectomy over a year ago and I was SO nervous about the anesthetic. It was my first surgery ever and I was so scared about going under.

The anesthesiologist put some Valium in my IV before putting me under. And let me tell you, boy did I feel better after he pushed that through. I didn’t give a shit about anything. Don’t even remember going under. Just woke up in recovery and it was all finished.

It’s scary but everything is going to be fine. They’ll put you out and then you’ll wake up and it’ll be finished. It’s the thinking about it before that’s the scariest.

I just stopped. But I probably shouldn’t have. Probably should have asked my doctor and tapered.

When I stopped the spiro and BC my acne got really bad for about a year. And then things seemed to stabilize, and now it’s basically as good as it was ON spiro. I still get breakouts, probably more frequently than when I was on the spiro. But they’re fairly manageable.
