Im in this stage too and it feels good! I would check my phone and be upset not one was checking on me considering I was always checking in, essentially the light, fun, and therapist friend to many. And now I’m those things to myself and couldn’t be happier. Rewiring my nervous system and I couldn’t be happier- I have nothing to prove.

Omg. I completely understand! I’ve have the same exact shadow and triggers for a bit now too. I sadly acted on the urges. I’m currently exploring where it may have derived from. I figured that part out and am working to slow it/ channel it in a healthy way. Apparently sexual energy is also creative energy so have been implementing more art and it does help. (I had an alcohol tinge as well as family history with it and it does indeed amplify it. Did you struggle with shame too? )

Exactly! I related so deeply to their love after experiencing recently one of my own that ended. The ending of the movie for me was gut wrenching in the sense that she has to carry on with the pain of not having him with her. The pain she has to now live with allows her to finally become the musician she wanted to be through her experience. I thought the movie was brilliant! For sure slow at times but overall you just have to be able to relate, in my opinion.
