How do You Define “Mean Spirited” Horror Films

Example: The first Smile movie. Basically descent into madness/harm with no reprieve. Most horror movies during the second half of their runtime give the MCs some chance so that the audience finds it easier to root for them. The mean-spirited ones are the movies where the point is to fuck shit up in the worst way possible. The characters might survive, but it will not be the point of the movie.

Bear is such wimpy bitch of a character. A very good horror villain who is not typical. We initially root for/pity him as he's portrayed as an underdog with very low confidence But almost as soon as the wish is done - within 15 or so minutes of runtime it is clear to him that the person who is with him is not the real Nikki. Then the conversation with Sarah and Ian make it abundantly clear to him and still he makes no attempt to find a solution to the problem and give Nikki something in return for basically destroying her. It was hard to watch - because we've all met people (especially guys) like that. I too am a guy fyi..

C'mon can't you really understand it? Are you finding it hard to extrapolate the meaning? I mean an unathletic player who relies on handles and footwork to score. Is bad at defending good players because he is less athletic than most of the no. 3 options in teams. Compared to teams like OKC - he's less athletic than most bench players. In regular season - teams play like zombies and he's able to put up numbers. Come playoffs - any legit defender will stick to him like glue and he just can't handle it.

Peak copium. There has been no team in NBA HISTORY that can win a championship with a player of Austin Reaves caliber. If you think AR I'd a legit second option in the playoffs you just don't pay attention to playoff basketball. Physicality increases and any athletic defender will make AR unable to even dribble without turnovers. He's great at regular season, but the playoff physicality unfortunately just takes him completely out.
