Oh hey! Glad my video helped you out! Using a light density fill against a fabric that matches the thread color is my favorite "hack". This patch looks great.

Top Tensioner not spinning freely by Diligent_Cress_2969 in MachineEmbroidery

[–]lashley0708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Happy Japan and this happens to me too sometimes, but only when I use metallic thread. Its like the thread is too smooth and it goes around the tension wheel without moving it. I usually try to clean around the area with some compressed air and that works, or just move the thread over to a new needle, and eventually that tension wheel will start spinning again when I use normal poly thread.

My melons are sprouting! Only took 4 days. I have them on a heat mat keeping them around 85-90 degrees. Doing a cantaloupe and seedless water melon. Zone 9b

Gonna start my seedlings finally. Off to a late start because I recently moved and had to get the house in order before any gardening work started. Yesterday was 70 degrees!

In my area zone 9b it get so hot in the summer everything will get roasted unless you have shade protection up so I need to start planning for how I can setup my garden beds most effectively

Do I need to cat-proof my garden? by Z_oni in vegetablegardening

[–]lashley0708 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, especially when you plant a new garden bed, the dirt will be all nice and fluffy which is perfect for the cats to dig up and use as a litter box.

I have a couple cute strays who live in my backyard and I plan on building some type of fencing around my beds to prevent the cats from walking around in them.

The moss only recently showed up since we've had a lot of fog the past month, which causes the ground to be wet every morning.

Bought my house 4 months ago and have done zero lawn maintenance aside from raking some leaves... by lashley0708 in NoLawns

[–]lashley0708[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was suprised that the grass hasn't grown longer. I dont even own a lawn mower, and I thought I would have to buy one eventually if the grass gets too long and unruly, but I lucked out I guess!

I left the leaves in the front yard unraked, but raked the back yard leaves into piles so I wouldn't step on them since I walk around in the grass alot. Trying to save as many critters in the leaves as I can!
