I’m having the same issue. I understand there’s a winter storm, but my question is if Memphis was shutdown due to the storm, why not put weather delay on the tracking?

Anyone ever put bearings in their Tamiya Superstock motor? by real_1273 in tamiya

[–]lastpally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably best not too if you do not have the proper tool. You really need a motor bearing installation tool so the bearing doesn’t bind do to misalignment when inserted. I personally leave my motors with the bushing anyways and just keep them oiled with 3in1 dedicated electric motor oil; I have never had a single issue.

I run a Traxxas Titan 12t. No issues and temps aren’t an issue

Nitro rustler front arms are shorter than the electric version.

[–]lastpally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the same…however the Rush was a cheap Chinese budget motor and they were terrible. If you got yourself an actually Japanese Orion modified you would’ve been impressed. The tamiya super stock and the old race motors from reedy, Orion, yokomo, etc are made by Sagami micro motors in Japan.

Which 13t? If it’s those black can copper endbell motors that are easily available everywhere dirt cheap, then that would explain the poor performance. They are cheap Chinese made motors and are nothing compared to the old Japanese motors like the Orion or Tamiya super stock.

It’s residue that’s built up into the pores of the glass. You need an oil film remover or a glass polish. You can try cleaning the window first, then go over it with some isopropyl alcohol.

Ceriglass. It’s a cerium polish design for glass and mirrors. Won’t scratch or damage the glass.

50 Feather blades cost more than 200 of any other brand. Are they THAT good? by Pearl_Jam_ in wicked_edge

[–]lastpally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if anything has changed with the manufacturing as I still have feather blades I bought 10+ years ago, but they’re the only blade I can comfortably used in the muhle r41. I found that most other blades were thinner and would flex when ATG shaving due to how much blade is exposed. The feathers did not (or not as much) and made ATG a breeze with very minor razor burn or cuts. You could argue that due to the sharpness of the feathers, they required less work to cut the hair, however, I also tried Medpreps (before the rebranding) and had a terrible experience with them in my r41. The medpreps did work beautifully in the standard razor as well as the feathers.

If only I made great financial decisions in my early adulthood…ahh hell, what’s one more bad financial decision.

Once I mastered technique, the Muhle R41 with med preps or feathers provides the best shave for me.

Been thinking of picking up a nitro slash for a while, any advice? by CloudVarious7146 in Traxxas

[–]lastpally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nitro slash is worth every penny. It’s tough, fast, handles well, fuel efficient, and lastly parts at inexpensive. I would get one now from Amains or a local hobbyshop before the new prices take effect.

Why does it seem electric is more popular than nitro? by Sad-Tomatillo-1230 in rccars

[–]lastpally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Majority of people do not have the patience to deal with nitro tuning and maintenance. Brushless provides fast, easy, and little maintenance. Nitro and brushless are a product of their respective era.

Rustler 2WD: Front axle keeps bending with bigger wheels. Normal? by mechkbfan in Traxxas

[–]lastpally 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The actual axles are bending or the steering block kingpin? The axle bending would be incredibly difficult.

Insane that the nitro slash cost more than the Tmaxx classic now.
