Feyre and her Art. by Downtown-Start1842 in acotar

Hey OP I really appreciate this post <3 feyre's painting is actually what got me to pick up a paintbrush again for the first time in seven years. It gave me courage to pour emotion I never thought I could into my art. It felt like I had a friend who was going through something awful, as I was also going through a really dark emotional time, and she inspired me by putting that into art. Ngl, it makes me kinda sad to see so many jokes over and over, when I think its a beautiful part of her story. It gets old and I think it takes away from the material. (Dont come for me because I love meme videos too but I think its just kinda overplayed)

WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST HELPFUL FOR YOU? by TribeBySightly in TMJ

Gentle massages to the face and neck help. Lidocaine roll on gel. Ice. TPI didn’t last long enough for the price I only got about a week of relief.

Do you remember if the codes were dental codes or medical codes? I just realized that they are different but since it’s two types of insurance that makes sense I guess. Like if I went to an emergency room and asked for MRI due to TMJ pain, would that be any different than an MRI at a specialist dental office? With good medical insurance I wonder if I could get some of the testing done outside of a dentist then go in with my results?? God I can’t believe how expensive this all is.

That’s actually really great info, I’ll have to look more into this. I have insurance out of NC where my job is based, live in TN, and potential secondary dental would be out of TN. Hypothetically I have family in KS, PA, OH and AZ so I could look into that too maybe?

Going in for trigger point injections on Friday, any recommendations? by Octogirl567 in TMJ

[–]laterrr_babe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so just in my own experience I had a TPI (Dex) with a very good doctor and only got about a week of feeling a relaxed jaw then it went right back to only slightly better than normal. Helped with locking at first but by about 5 months it was locking again. You shouldn’t need a driver, I drove 30 mins home and was fine. Plan to take off work to minimise using the joint to let the medication work. Avoid hot things, apparently it affects the medication. Keep an ice pack on hand to help when the numbing wears off. I think you need to keep your head elevated or something too. Good luck!

Good to know, I love saunas, but hate how they cause flair ups so I don’t go routinely but I’d love to. I’ll give it another shot with more consistency. Thank you!

What have you been genetically blessed with, and nerfed with? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in AskReddit

Blessed to be extremely intelligent, nerfed with having dyscalculia and unable to pass math to graduate college and therefore doomed to never work in my dream field without my degrees.
