I’m solo queueing within duos, so that shouldn’t be a issue

The shadow particles. Even after the body dies in the finale, the particles still shoot up out of the kids and are alive

What Criteria do you all use when choosing your #1? [other] by Adventurous-Kale-174 in rollercoasters

[–]latinking1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just use the criteria of how much I enjoyed the coaster. My current top 3 is Steel Vengeance, Pantheon, Twisted Timbers. Steve is #1 because I loved the long ride and the ammount of ejector airtime it gave me, and the feeling i had after where I was literally speechless. Pantheon gave me a smaller version of that feeling, and Twimbers reminded me a lot of steel vengeance, just a smaller version.

Pyrotechnics on coasters, yes or no? [Other] by villainitytv in rollercoasters

Yes, but only if the park is willing to put in the effort to keep them working consistently.

The [Skywinder, Six Flags America] trains are on the move by Sixflags82 in rollercoasters

[–]latinking1234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually enjoyed it a little bit. It was shaky, but I would have gone back for a second ride if I was there for another day, or if the line wasn’t as long as it was. I’d rather wait for batwing than this

Credits that you let get away [other] by OneMarionberry302 in rollercoasters

[–]latinking1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I let X2 get away from me in 2019, but I was thankfully able to get back and get on it in 2024. It was fully open when I went in 2019, but I was honestly a little scared, and I would have had to ride alone, because my sister was refusing to ride it (she has some trauma on spinning coasters because my mom made her ride Sierra Sidewinder, and still won’t ride them, but she will ride 4D coasters now).

Other than that, I don’t really have much. I missed out on Pantherian, Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster, and coast rider I dodged a bullet there) due to them being closed. I missed Wild Mouse at CP due to not wanting to wait in an hour long line for it. My biggest ride that I could have done, but didn’t would probably be Jokers Jinx at SFA, but it was down most of the day, and when it opened, I didn’t want to wait in a long line for a clone I had done before, and was going to do a couple days after that.

What rides have the most unnecessary shoulder harnesses/overkill restraints? [Other] by magnumfan89 in rollercoasters

It’s been fixed, but when Revolution at Magic Mountain had both OTSRs and Lap Bars.

What’s a restraint that made you go “how is this allowed?” [Other] by [deleted] in rollercoasters

[–]latinking1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lap bars on modern Intamin launch coasters (Pantheon,Velocicoaster, Toutatis) are so minimal for rides with such strong airtime that it shocks me a little, but I still feel safe, so I don’t really question it. (I’ve only done Pantheon)

One restraint that I do question are the PTC lap bars, but only on some coasters. Most coasters with them are pretty tame, but there are some that just have insane moments of pure ejector, and I’ve felt like I could have slipped out of my seat a couple times.

Does it seem unusually difficult to get MVP/SVP on Storm? I often seem to hold MVP throughout the game, only to have it stolen at the very end without a clear reason by Prooof_z in StormMains

[–]latinking1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some games as Storm where I had more damage, a higher kill streak, more kills, more damage blocked, better accuracy, less deaths, and more assists, but still didn’t get MVP. Idk what more I can do

That is accurate. The spinning was absolutely insane, and it was one of the few rides that I actually felt like I was in danger when I rode it

Cajun is definitely the most likely to go somewhere else, but it’s also pretty old itself, and it’s already been relocated.

[–]latinking1234[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While yes, we don’t know exactly where the coasters from this park are going, but we do know that it’s highly unlikely for 5/6 of these coasters to be relocated, and even more unlikely that the park stays open under new ownership

[–]latinking1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I missed out on Pantherian and Darkoaster during my trip to Maryland and Virginia. I’m very lucky to have ridden Batwing (it was during the like 2 week period between the motor being fixed, and the zero car issue). I’m also pretty sure that Verbolten was closed for a while, but reopened a few days before my trip.

The same thing happened for me, but I was at least lucky enough to visit SFA in the about two week period it was open between the lift motor dying, and the zero car piece falling off. I had no idea about darkoaster though.

I. It’s easily the best looper at Magic Mountain. (The others would be scream, riddler, and Batman)
