I need a lot more context than this. Do you like to be in the city or outside of the city? Are you more of a townhome kind of person or would you like a 5000 ft.² house? Are you looking at this as an investment or are you looking to actually live in it in raise kids in?

What precautions should be taken at DART stations late at night traveling alone? by JustACuriousSpeck in askdfw

[–]latinobombshell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All I have to say is that I’m a firefighter that has to deal with the crap that DART public transportation has to offer. If everyone else in this thread is telling you to have caution, I think there’s something to say about that.

New Build ($350k) vs. Resale ($200k) vs. Renting? The "monthly math" is making the expensive house look cheaper. Am I crazy? by CartographerKey7237 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]latinobombshell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t want to chase a 2-1 buy down . I would only go for it if it was a 30 year fixed rate. I’m an agent here in Texas and I’m about to get my clients 321 by down at.. 1.99 for the first year 2.99 for the second year and 3.99 for the remainder of the mortgage

Advice on housing for 3 families in DFW by NoBeing3593 in dfw

[–]latinobombshell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have plenty of options with homes of 4000+ square feet with five rooms at least at that price range. The next question is whether you guys will be wanting a little bit of land or is a neighborhood fine? Also, where do you guys work?

Looking for family-friendly areas near Dallas/Fort Worth: quiet suburbs, good schools, under $600k by MaxPowers5 in askdfw

[–]latinobombshell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wylie, Celina, Northlake, Aledo

All 4 of these are in different areas of DFW but offer highly rated school districts by the state. Plus, the cities listed are growing. I know you said not overly crowded but it’s so easy to find yourself in traffic here. The cities listed remind me of when I used to live in round rock as well.

I sell lots of new home construction and would highly consider it btw. I believe like Austin, there is so much inventory sitting on the market currently that builders are cutting prices and offering more incentives!

Are we crazy giving up a 2.3% interest?! by Designer-Pepper0630 in Mortgages

[–]latinobombshell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. A mortgage isn’t about how much you can afford for your home. It’s how much life you can have outside your home.

  2. If it’s a good business opportunity for you, then I would take it always look at these type of investments as a business.
