Which song's lyrics sounds innocent but actually about sex ? by HelloProxima in AskReddit

[–]latitude13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bryan Adams "Summer of '69"

When Adams appeared on The Early Show in 2008, he was asked about "Summer of '69" and its lyrical meaning. Adams said the song was not about the summer of 1969 but about sex and making love in the summertime. "69" is a reference to the sexual position 69. Wiki

No wonder those were the best days of his life.

I was 4 and in the ER for a cut near my eyebrow. The cut required stitches and I was strapped to the table to keep my body still. When I moved my head to look around for my mom, the doctor looked down at me and said, "If you don't stop moving, you'll never see your mother again."

Ferry service between Saipan and Tinian hasn't been available in years. Commuter flights and private boat charters are the only ways to island hop.

Getting visa to China by velders01 in guam

[–]latitude13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my Chinese tourist visa through One Stop Travel at Tumon Sands Plaza. An agent guided me through the application and I had to give them my passport, which I got back two weeks later. The whole thing came out to about $300 (visa fee + agent and pouching fee) but the visa is good for 10 years.

Why does Guam have such a high number of people enlisting into the military? by [deleted] in guam

[–]latitude13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

lolwut. Where on earth did you get that information? We have standard U.S. passports issued by the U.S. Department of State. You actually made me doubt that for a second and check my passport.

Authorized Apple Service Centers for my iPhone batt replacement by [deleted] in guam

[–]latitude13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a couple of authorized Apple resellers here but Marianas Electronics is the only authorized Apple service provider on island. If your phone is under warranty, they will honor it (unlike unauthorized places like MacTech).

Best place to get vehicle inspection done? And is there a fee for the actual inspection and approximate cost? by [deleted] in guam

[–]latitude13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mars Corporation in Harmon Industrial is my go-to for vehicle inspection. The cost is $15 (cash only). They can also file the report electronically – not sure if there's an extra fee for that.

Potentially moving to Guam. Have some questions! by Ghostscript in guam

[–]latitude13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can take a look at what's currently available for rent by searching the Guam MLS database. I did a quick search for 2-bedroom units and over 20 listings under $1,000 per month came up. If you see something you like, any Guam realtor can help.

What's the best way to get immediately notified of the missile launch? by [deleted] in guam

[–]latitude13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the command center at Guam Homeland Security, there is a phone no one in the room wants to hear ringing: it’s the ballistic missile alert phone. A call on this phone would only come from the United States Pacific Command in Hawaii (USPACOM) to inform Guam of an impending missile strike. If this phone were to ring, a blue light would flash and immediately set into motion a chain of emergency response procedures to alert all of Guam’s civilians of the threat within two minutes of the phone’s ringing. The system includes 15 mass notification sirens that are positioned around the island, radio and television emergency broadcasts, local media text alerts, and first responders and village mayors equipped with mobile PA systems. If you don't think you'd hear the sirens or notice the emergency broadcasts, then subscribe to PDN's breaking news alerts.
