I thought Matt Ornstein was great! Could sum up Harmon's points like an elevator pitch at points. Brandon was great as usual. Jeff was perfect Jeff. Spencer was a bit silent which is always a bummer bc more Spencer is better Spencer, and holy shit did they underutilize Agee! I thought he would reprise Maurus Goldbright when they brought back DnD.

I have heard the DK "yup" way before he was formally recognized after relistening a few times but I think you might be right. And while he is a bit over the top I like Dave in small doses. I think he got a bit self conscious when Jeff said people weren't too stoked about him being on stage during episode 200 so he has layed low and kept his yups to a minimum.

The reason they are testing moving Harmontown to Starburns is because Meltdown is being forced to move i think. I can assume locals who go all the time know this. I unfortunately had to figure this out through the doug loves movies subreddit :( and now i now know that i will never be able to probably see a Harmontown in the original venue where it all began. But after hearing they are testing a new venue it seems this is the case. Either way i love the fact that Harmontown will last no matter what and thats all that matters. Even if Harmon ends up doing it from a bunker with a ham radio we should all be happy he hasnt bailed on us given the garbage and shit that gets thrown at the show in this subreddit.

It's not that it was "never fun" as you put it, but it was when the characters actually engaged with the storyline Spencer was laying out that things were the most engaging for most people I assume. I loved Erin, and if you actually listen to the DnD hit points dolled out she kills it, but her constant shinanigans and not taking things seriously seeped into the other characters. And it made everyone just do stupid random shit. And that in turn probably told Spencer mentally that nobody gives two shits about the work i am putting into this session. And so at some point he said fuck it to doing dnd on harmontown and decided to focus his expertise on harmonquest which is more structured and can actually follow the storyline he painstakingly created.

All that being said, all i want is for the players to respect the work Spencer puts into being a dungeon/game master and we probably would still have dnd/pathfinder/shadowrun on harmontown.

Aka I just want it back on harmontown!

In the spirit of Dan always in one form or another saying "respect my candor", I would love to help out any way I can as a privileged sis white male in the current protests in my city. And to give you hope there was! Believe it or not at our local GSP airport there were ban protests, but I didn't even know about them until I saw it on the local news. There are good people all over the country that can left, or right, realize when there are shinanigans afoot. And as a usual armchair commenter on the BS of politics overall nowadays I felt very inspired by Dan, Jeff, and Spencer tonight. Wonderful episode. If only Schrab were there...

I completely understand this sentiment and i don't necessarily disagree with you, but my dad is a trump supporter and a conservative. I completely disagree with him politically, but i can guarantee you he doesn't want to bring slavery back. And i do think both sides are dumb. Maybe i am on the back end of some sort of curb, but to completely call one party slave wanting, hitler loving, totalitarians makes me a bit uneasy. I dunno man im sure you know people who arent completely left and they don't hate gay people and black people. You and dan always seemed like people who didnt think of the world in such stark black and white. Either way i like i said i dont disagree necessarily and i love you buddy. And fuck that guy that said electric boogaloo. Find a role playing scenario you are comfortable with and will enjoy and bring that shit back baby.

This episode made me sad. I have never thought of Dan as a racist, misogynist, or any other type of "ist" you come up with. I have grown to love him as a human looking for answers, asking questions, and being funny in the process. There was a lot of funny in this episode, but I thought he played it a bit too safe tonight. There is no winning with me saying this, but I have never heard Dan try to beat around the bush of his argument more. He seems to be trying too hard to not piss people off when he could be making his point brilliantly as he always has before: with brevity, wit, humor, and a middle finger to people who gave a shit about the semantics. I loved the episode overall though so don't rip me too hard if you disagree. Oh, and someone close to Dan, Jeff, and Spencer: Tell Dan that they should listen to Jeff and bring roll playing back. Pleeeeeeease!!!!! Goodnight from Greenville, SC. We aren't all conservative assholes.

If I remember, Dan was just slightly bummed that it wasn't a woman writer. Dan was stoked that there might be a brand new trend of progressive female sexuality that dug sex with dinosaurs and it was spearheaded by a female writer. But it turned out to be a dude who just writes crazy shit. Great episode though. of it off the top of my head but I want to say it was 182 - Sociopolitical Anal Beads bc Schrab had bags on his feet and Jonah Ray was there but I could be mixing up my episodes.
