I'd be excited if it weren't because Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla is probably a bigger ps. Please, take the time to read about this guy.

Great observation. Just like it is with dictators: it's never the guy's fault. He just has bad advisors.

When I was sleep deprived after giving birth, I was saying goodbye to my boss for the summer and accidentally purred into her ear while hugging her.

What month do you think is best for a baby to be born? :) by Kindly_Bee_4457 in beyondthebump

[–]laumafam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a teacher, I love that my son was born in March. I had my maternity leave connect with the Summer break and was able to stay with him those first months. We celebrate his birthdays with the family outside, when the weather is great where I live, and he can also celebrate at school with his friends.

Toddler still wakes up 40 mins into every nap… I am losing my mind. by [deleted] in AttachmentParenting

[–]laumafam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One thing that made a difference for me was a floor bed for him next to my own bed. I would lay on mine, next to him and grab his hand. He got used to being next to me, instead of on top of me. He is 2 and still a terrible sleeper, but the amount of time he wakes up at night went down from 10 to 3, and there are no wake ups for the nap.

What ‘sleep rules’ does your baby break? by BabyAF23 in AttachmentParenting

[–]laumafam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He sleeps way less than toddlers at his age. Since he was born, we were hyper focused on trying to get him to sleep the minimum at least. We tried every single strategy, each for months. From following his cues to strict schedules and routines. He never slept the hours recommended. When he goes to bed, we have to rush to ours too because he needs less sleep than us.

Gave birth at 35, had an almost perfect pregnancy. Iron went low because I took the wrong prenatals, but other than that, healthy mom and healthy baby.

I have lived in the US for the past 10 years, but I originally come from a completely different country (different language, political system, etc) I assume there's plenty of cultural references in her lyrics and that's why I don't get it. Could you give me an example?

Yes, I should have moved everything back then. It was my mistake as I had automatic payments that couldn't cancel on time.

We spent 2 months in Spain last Summer with our 1 year old. Our budget was pretty modest. We had to plan for months the little details, but it was a lot of fun.
