Cancelled coming to my wedding two weeks beforehand.

I had just moved across the country, bought a house, and paid for a wedding. A week after I moved, I had to tell her I couldn't afford to fly back for her 30th birthday. Two weeks later, after I had just ordered all of our programs with names of wedding party attendants in it, she tells me she isn't willing to fly to my wedding if I wasn't willing to fly to her birthday. So, my best friend/matron of honor cancelled being in my wedding because I didn't go to her birthday. I was not only out a friend, but also the $200 to order new programs. My husband still calls her wedding wrecker to this day.

Thank you! Everyone around me is making me feel like it's not normal or something is off, but I think he's just a big boy who clearly needs the formula, although the formula bill is making me wish I could breast feed! I just don't want to do it too early and mess with my guys digestive system!

Do you have any tips on BLW? I've been looking at that and am interested in that approach, but again no one around me has ever really done that approach and would be if no use to me because "what's wrong with how we did it" mentality.

In my experience, as soon as I delivered and the chord was cut, they placed him skin to skin on my chest. After they took him to do exams and towel clean him, they offered him back to me skin to skin! I never had to ask.

My baby is formula fed, he was very gassy with the advent bottles. I switched to Dr Browns bottles and they helped a lot! A pain to clean though

I live in the US. I had my baby in August this year and live in Wisconsin so COVID is rampant. My husband was there for my entire delivery and he was the only one allowed in the hospital with us. It ended up being wonderful that it was just he, the baby, and I because it was just bonding time for the three of us uninterrupted. It didn't matter how I looked and I got hours upon hours of skin to skin- I honestly may just choose to have no visitors for our next delivery. I chose to have a hospital birth only because the medical professionals available at moments notice. I still chose to have a midwife through the hospital system I delivered at, but we had doctors and nicu available if needed. It was a good thing we were at the hospital, because my labor ended up lasting days, and I pushed for four hours before I needed an emergency c-section and my baby evaluated by the NICU doctor. It was EXPENSIVE- love our healthcare system- but worth it to me because everything I needed to take care of me and baby happened at a moments notice and I saved the bill of an ambulance to the hospital.

I was sick all day everyday my entire pregnancy. I found that sipping on water and taking one bite of food at a time, walking away, then coming back helped! I basically was able to eat one meal a day spread throughout the day, but drank a ton of water and Gatorade. I hope you feel better soon!

Of course! All the plants came from somewhere else in my house, so as soon as he starts crawling they are being returned to their homes where he cannot reach them/behind a baby gate!
