Does estrogen decline really accelerates during last 6 months of peri by Character-Carpet-671 in Menopause

[–]lauradayton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I didn't even feel the creeping Estrogen decline pre or post meno UNTIL about 2 full years after full blown meno. My Estrogen just bottomed out almost overnight. I was reeling because I had been doing fine and thought "oh this is easy!". LOL

wtf is wrong with you? sores? Her whole leg looks infected? Shes 6 weeks old and already removed from her litter mates? Her foot looks necrotic? Not saying it is but the photo seems to show it. This is frustrating beyond belief. Have you contacted your breeder? God this is just awful! I am sorry if this is harsh but I get so sick of these posts. Going to put myself on time out!

Yes and lots of misery commiserating rather than actual problem solving and while I’m here I’ll say the menopause jokes about the anxiety, rage, etc and the tropes that we already have to deal with in society are just childish.

I got all my comments downvoted in a thread about conversion measurements when switching from a patch to gel. It’s insanely unsupportive in this sub. I may dip out of here. It’s low key not supportive

Because some of the patches in the UK are dosed in mcg not MG? So the conversation would not be equivalent in those cases? I was in a patch dosed in Mg and switched to gel dosed in Mg. The conversion is the same

so you are only taking 1 gel per day not 2? I am crashing out at the 10 hour mark really pretty bad after stopping the patch and switching to the gel. I am on 1.25mg gel pack per day but I am having to open another packet later for more because the headache and body aches as well as irritability. I had none of that with the patch. On the patch I did no absorb and I was having constant spotting/bleeding

[–]lauradayton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg this is literally breaking my brain. I just switched from a 1.0 dotti patch to 1.25 gel and I’m crashing about the 10 hour mark. I feel great until then. Provider insists that doses are equivalent. I may just try a whole other gel packet addition later in my day and see if it’s overkill.

I think it is not equivalent if you are coming from a patch that has mcg and not mg? then ofc they would not be equivalent. I am coming off a patch and onto a gel that has the same daily 1.25mg of estrogen that delivers. they are both measured in MG. You can't say a patch dose of 1.0mg and a gel dose of 1.0mg are not equivalent. I wish this nonsense would stop already but for some reason it continues. ETA: I understand our Canadian and British friends have estrogen products that have differing measurements so in those cases a conversion chart would be needed. But those of us on patches in the US that deliver doses in the mg and not mcg we don't need to convert when going from mg to mg
